Perfect stay in cosy, well-located cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cornerstone Cottage. It was so clean, homely, cosy and beautiful with everything you could think of provided. The cosy, private garden was lovely and the dedicated parking was a lifesaver. Five minute walk onto the main street was great. The bed was super comfy, the bedding felt great and it had a lovely vibe waking up in the morning, so relaxing and quiet. We would absolutely recommend this cottage!
The cottage is behind High Street in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, arguably the most iconic town in all of the Cotswold Hills. It is set in a lovely garden near the main house yet is absolutely private. The cottage is immaculate, the bathroom truly superb, the kitchen set up with up-to-date appliances. Everything was first class.

Short but lovely stay in Cornerstone Cottage
This is our second time staying at Cornerstone Cottage. Lovely cottage with gorgeous garden to sit in while having an evening meal or morning cup of coffee. Bed is super comfortable and location is perfect. If you are tall, you may have issues with hitting your head on the beams in the bedroom. Not too much of a problem for us. Parking is on sight which is a plus. Some coffee pods and tea/sugar await you, as does fresh milk. Much appreciated. Great to also have a washing machine and drying rack. Great accommodation in Chipping Campden.

We would come again!
A clean and comfortable cottage with a pretty garden in a quiet but ideal location. Close to the town’s amenities without being in the centre and great for long walks straight from the door. Well equipped cottage although a few items lacking for self catering ie measuring jug, scales, beer glasses, liners for the food caddy and a bin in the bathroom would have been preferable. Also a Firestick was advertised which wasn’t obvious but we didn’t want to watch TV anyway so none of the above would stop us booking again!

A Dreamstay...More Than I Expected!
Coming from the US, I wasn't sure where to even begin my search for places to stay while in England. The first rule was that it had to be out and about, not in any large towns and certainly not in cities. After wandering around the internet, I stumbled upon Cornerstone Cottage and jumped at the chance to be in a cottage out in the Cotswolds. Booked it for five nights as the central piece of our trip and I sure am glad that I did. The entire property was inviting, charming, and cozy. The outdoor patio is beautiful, secluded, and inviting and the cottage itself is entirely a pleasure to be in. The bed is comfortable and we slept very well, indeed. It is located close to downtown Chipping Campden which is really convenient. It was a blessing to find Cornerstone and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Hated to leave. Oh, one piece of advice to future users--watch your head upstairs--low ceiling and beams. I conked myself several times. But that's on me, not the Cottage! :)

Nice cottage, but sleeping conditions not great
The cottage was lovely and the hosts provided the majority of what we expected. They were very kind and provided prosecco which was a lovely touch. The cottage was very clean and welcoming, but there were two big issues for me. 1. A lot of black mould on the upstairs windows which were tricky to open and close as the handles were not secure. Black mould is dangerous, particularly if you are allergic to it. 2. No additional blankets were provided which wasn't ideal as it's not nice to keep the central heating on and sleep in a hot environment. The duvet supplied was summer weight thin, but we stayed in February.
It's not difficult to remover black mould from windows and have at least one window that can be opened easily for ventilation. Extra blankets in winter is normal and we were shocked none were provided.
Would recommend the property for summer only

Cosy
Close to everything. May need to watch your head getting in and out of bed though. Lovely touch having the tree.
We’ve stayed at the cottage for a wedding. It was moderately clean, however, it seems there might be an issue with wood lice as there were quite a lot of them inside the cottage in the evening. When we tried calling a taxi service from the booklet in the cottage, most numbers were out of service. Overall a nice stay, the cottage could be updated a little though.

Needs An Update
Regretfully this was not a cottage stay up to our expected standard, there was a musty smell on arrival, although first impression was it was clean the detail was missing. Inside cupboards need a clean, hob extractor was greasy and only one of two lights worked, window frames needed a fresh lick of paint and in places greater refurbishment as difficult to close, when tidying sofa found bits of biscuits down the back, garden was peaceful but again needs some maintenance.

First time in the Cotswolds
Visited cornerstone cottage for a short break with my husband and we had a very enjoyable stay.
The property was clean and well presented.
Had all the bits and bobs you need.l for a short stay.
As this is our first time staying in a self contained property we did not realise it’s advisable to take EVERYTHING you need in order to do some indoor food.
Salt, Pepper, kitchen roll....nothing essential is provided. We were not aware of this. My advise, if you want to have even one meal in take everything you need. It might be a good idea that guests are made aware these essentials are not available.
Apart from that the property was sufficient. Small but quaint.
Location was perfect. Car advisable so you can take a look at what the rest of the Cotswolds has to offer.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely perfect!
My husband and I adored Cornerstone Cottage! The furnishings are cozy and appealing with attention to detail making it feel more like home than a rental.
It has all of the things you hope to find in accommodations- privacy, comfy bed, plenty of hot water, a large shower with good water pressure,well-appointed kitchen - plus everything is spotlessly clean.
The bedroom has the rarest and most appreciated of amenities - a vanity table situated in front of a bright window with an adjacent electrical outlet, as well as a portable magnifying mirror.
The private garden area is a special treat.
There is a dedicated parking space right behind cottage
My only complaint is that, when I requested to alter our reservation by reducing our 13 night stay to 12 nights (many months in advance) the property manager agreed but did not refund our money for that night.
