Unlike many venues across the country, The Rectory Lacock has chosen NOT to increase the price of our holiday accommodation due to the pandemic. We see the need for families and couples to have a holiday and understand that the options to go abroad have been greatly reduced. We hope to be able to welcome you to stay.
Please scroll down to the bottom of the property description for the details of the MEASURES BEING TAKEN TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY DUE TO COVID-19.
Converted from the original former rectory stables, Lenton is the larger of our two cottages. It has a vaulted roof in the lounge/dining area and large windows including French doors over looking the fields and stables. Lenton Cottage has one double room with a king sized bed and a second bedroom with a truckle bed. The truckle bed provides our guests with a double bed and a single bunk bed above. Lenton Cottage accommodates four/five people and is ideally suited for a couple, a young family or business people working in the local area.
Lenton Cottage is well equipped with a fully fitted kitchen including an electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There is a wet room with a sizable shower, WC and washbasin. All linen and towels are included. The cottage has WIFI access as well as TV and DVD player. An iron and ironing board are available. There is on-site parking available for one car per cottage. Please note: for one additional car, subject to availability and pre-arranged in advance, there is an additional charge on arrival.
The cottage shares a dedicated patio area and garden with Wheeler Cottage.
The Rectory Lacock is a Grade II listed Victorian building built in 1866. Sitting in 6 acres of private Wiltshire countryside, the Rectory is just a 2 minute leisurely walk from the heart of the medieval National Trust village of Lacock.
The two holiday cottages are in the grounds of the Rectory, where our guests have the privacy of their own dedicated patio area and a separate private garden, exclusively available to our cottage guests. Each cottage has two bedrooms and all of the facilities that our guests would expect to find in good quality self-catering accommodation.
The beautiful village of Lacock is a firm favourite for film and TV producers due to its notably picturesque streets and historic cottages, all unspoilt by modern alterations. The village has been used as a setting for Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, Cranford and Harry Potter. Very recently, the village has been used for the filming the final Downton Abbey movie in Sep 2018.
The cottages are also ideally suited to people visiting the local area including Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury and Longleat.
We offer a discount for 7 night bookings.
MEASURES BEING TAKEN TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY DUETO COVID-19.
We pride ourselves on good personal service, ensuring a warm welcome to every customer, however, the current situation has meant that we have had to revise our approach. We hope that this will be understood and welcomed in the interests of everyone's safety. The additional measures listed below have been put in place for the safety of all our guests and staff.
Prior to your arrival the cottage will be cleaned to a high standard including the extensive use of anti-bacterial cleaning products. An Electrostatic Sprayer will be used throughout the cottage for your safety. As a result, no late check-outs or early check-ins will be available until further notice.
All bed linen and towels are, and will continue to be, professionally laundered.
Windows will be left open to encourage fresh airflow.
Check-in will be completed via a key safe. Details will be sent via email to customers prior to arrival.
Customers are not to invite any friends or family, who are not staying in the cottages, on to The Rectory Lacock site.
All non-essential items such as cushions, DVDs, magazines, books have been removed from the cottages to reduce the risk of contamination.
Our welcome folder has been removed; however, a copy of our welcome folder can be emailed to you on request.
A sealed pack of Tea/Coffee/Milk and Sugar will be provided for your convenience.
All payments will be made online using our online payment system to avoid unnecessary contact.
Despite the government relaxing the 2m rule please be aware that many people are not comfortable with that relaxation and we ask that you retain a 2m distance from our other guests and staff which is entirely achievable due to the layout of the premises.
It is also important to be mindful that not everyone has been offered the opportunity to be vaccinated yet. You may have had one or both vaccines however some of our younger customers, especially those with young children, are unlikely to have been fully vaccinated and will be remaining cautious to keep their family safe. This will not detract for your stay or your enjoyment, we are just asking our guest to be considerate of other guests.
If you suspect that you may be displaying signs of the Covid-19 virus while staying in our accommodation, please inform us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone on 01249 730335 (leave a message if we are not in). You must immediately self-isolate to minimise any risk of transmission, returning home if possible. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority. Guests should follow government guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Once the guest has returned to their main residence, they should continue to follow the government guidance on self-isolation, household isolation and social distancing.” All guests and staff will be made aware of the situation with immediate effect. Unfortunately, if the guest cannot return home, the guest will be expected to pay for the accommodation until they are able to reasonably leave.
We hope that all of this is over cautious and that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in our cottages. Please rest assured that your safety is of paramount importance to us.
