"We were very happy with the staff and the condition of the room. Nice and close to the beach. Walked there in about 5 minutes. Best hotel we have stayed at considering the many times we have visited. The only negative thing about the hotel was no breakfast with my stay like most hotels."

"My friend and I stayed here for a night on our roadtrip to San Diego. The staff was very friendly, and when we left a perfume behind they kindly agreed to keep it until we can get back to pick it up! Very thankful for them. The view was beautiful and the boardwalk was fun to past, despite it being night time and closed. The vibe reminded me of Italy, very fun! Definitely get your money’s worth with this place!"

"We booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Unfortunately, our dining experience at the High Tide restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess who seated us to the uncomfortable low seating at our table, everything felt subpar. The food had no flavor at all, especially when compared to their sister property, Bernardus, in Carmel Valley—there’s simply no comparison. On a positive note, the pool and staff at the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. However, while the room was decent, it did not justify the additional price we were charged for our two-night stay."
