#### Traverse the raised walkway along the back of the beach, snorkel alongside the coral reef and investigate the boats and rock formations.

Serene and remote, Chileno Beach provides an ideal escape from the cities. It lies beside the meeting of the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean and has a Blue Flag certificate for cleanliness and safety. Arrive with snorkeling gear and dive into the clear water for a glimpse of the colorful aquatic life.

Sit with your family in the shade of the straw-roofed huts known as palapas. These are ideal spots for enjoying a picnic or reading a book, as you appreciate the scenic surrounding views. The vista consists of a vast arch of golden sand surrounded by thickets of palm trees and rock pools. 

Go for a swim in the cool water and put your goggles on to pass over the reef. The shoreline is also known for its calm waters and tide pools. Back on the beach, enjoy the views of the mountains in the distance and the sparkling blue sea dotted with sailboats. Climb on the rocks at the rear of the beach and hike on the arid terrain. You can also stroll along the elevated walkway bordering the back of the strand.

Despite its fairly remote location, the beach is enclosed by one or two exclusive resorts and villas. Note that on weekends, the beach gets fairly busy. Come during the week for a quieter time. Bathroom facilities and showers are available on this bay, which is free and open to the public at all times.

Find Chileno Beach in the middle of the coastal corridor connecting Cabo San Lucas to San José del Cabo. Drive north from Cabo San Lucas for 10 miles (16 kilometers) to get here in about 20 minutes. Drop off your car in the unpaved parking lot. En route, pass highlights such as Cabo del Sol Golf, Santa María Bay and Viudas Beach.

My stay was ok. The rooms were nice but the balcony could use a little more maintenance. The hot tub on the balcony took a long time for the water to fill up and the sound was extremely loud. Check in was a bit challenging. I showed confirmation to the employee of the amount that I was to pay at the property which was $13.26 but instead I was charged $240MX ($13.84 USD). I really wasn't in the mood to address it due to the employee had charged my credit card then canceled after realizing the mistake she made. I gave her some grace but it doesn't take away that I was will overcharged by 58 cent. Next, I get to my room & didn't realize there were no wash clothes in the bathroom. So the next day, I asked one of the cleaning staff members for some wash clothes, however, that was challenging as well due to the language barrier. It was just alot going on but it worked out having to use my translator on my phone. As far as the drinks, those were really good but I have to pass on the food as it wasn't all that great to me. Also, when attempting to get a blue towel for me to go near the pool, the employee acted as if he didn't want to give me a towel due to the wrist band I had on which was for Alititude. I didn't have no issue the previous day getting a towel and I wasn't aware that I needed to go somewhere else to get a towel. I was very frustrated with that and still received the towel.The beach was nice, the entertainment was good and I liked the swings.
