"It was an amazing getaway!A wonderful, cozy home with an interesting history. A quiet place where you can truly recharge.The house felt like a small museum, where everything has meaning. There were many interesting books and board games, and everything we needed was provided.Just one small note: Wi-Fi would have been helpful, because even though we wanted to disconnect, some work matters still required being online do - but this was not critical at all.Thank you for a fantastic stay! We will definitely come back and will gladly recommend your cozy cabin."

"Cabin was clean, all amenities were up to date. It was easy to check in and out. Owners were quick to respond with any questions we had! This was our first time in a cabin, my family had an amazing experience celebrating a birthday definitely recommend. "

"Our stay was nice overall, but there were a few things that could have been better. The location and general vibe of the space were pleasant, but a few details impacted our overall comfort. With a little more attention to upkeep and communication, this could easily be a 5-star spot.Pros:    • Great location—about 25 minute drive to Pinecrest Lake, 15 minute drive to Black Oak Casino    • The space had charm and a nice aesthetic—multiple living rooms, large dining table and patio table    • Most beds were comfortable and all rooms were spacious      • All bedrooms have their own wall AC unit allowing for individual comfort       • Check-in was simple and instructions were clear for arrival and departure—we appreciated the early check in accommodation Cons:    • A few items were broken or worn down (grate on grill fell into fire when flipping food, grill burners didn’t light, extreme wobbly deck and loose deck safety rails—ultimately a SAFETY ISSUE)    • Ran out of propane on gas fire pit within an hour of use and were not provided with a spare until the next day    • The unit had a locked thermostat for the first floor so temperature downstairs could not be adjusted for comfort     • Only one garbage bag was provided for our Thursday through Sunday stay for a family of 11. Minimal resources were issued only upon request.Overall, we had a good stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement. "

"Very cozy and spacious. It easily sleeps 8 people. The host was very nice and easy to communicate. He would keep us posted with the weather and instructions for the house. He let us check in and out without any time restrictions. The place is just 20 min drive from the dodge ridge ski resort. The place was very tidy and clean with the exception of the fridge and the microwave. I would strongly recommend it to stay. "
