  • At the heart of Chichester city centre and on the grounds of our famous Cathedral, Canon Gate is a beautifully refurbished historic building, a perfect base to explore everything Chichester has to offer. With two bedrooms this property accommodates four comfortably. The large first floor living room is a sanctuary to retreat to after a busy afternoon. Looking out across the cathedral rooftops this makes the most romantic of settings. The living room has a good sized dining area with plenty of room to dine after cooking up a feast or collecting a local takeaway. Try downloading the 'deliveroo' app, lots of the local restaurants will deliver direct to your door. If you do want to cook up a feast the kitchen has everything you will need to effectively self cater during your stay. The apartment comes with it's own outdoor space, a small walled courtyard area with table and chairs to enjoy alfesco dining. Collect a bottle from the local wine merchant and enjoy! Canon Gate has one family bathroom with a good sized shower cubicle.

Nice flat - a bit noisy

The flat is nice and spacious and right in the centre of town so very handy for all amenities and sights. because its on the main street its a bit lively situated above a shop that plays loud music (although they did turn it down when we banged on the ceiling). There was a live concert somewhere nearby on Saturday which was very noisy - don't know if this is a one off. The loo hadn't been cleaned however I think that was an oversight as the rest of the flat was fine. If you want a nice place to stay and don't mind a bit of 'ambient' noise then its fine otherwise choose a place away from the main drag.
