  • The Davis House has been embracing Guests for the past 15 years. It is a perfect place for families to stay. The kitchen after all is the Heart of the home and famalies have loved the French farm table for gatherings as well as the 3 oven LaCanche stove.
    It is located in beautiful Glen Ellyn, known for its quaint down town and Vintage Homes, parks and tree lined streets. USA Today selected Glen Ellyn as the Picturesque Town of Illinois because of this. The Davis House is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac. Set back from Davis Terrace, its front garden adds to the grandeur of this beautiful home. Steps from Babcock Grove Park as well as Lake Ellyn Park. For young children these are just a few of the options. Also for children and adults The Perry Mastadon that was discovered in Glen Ellyn in 1963 is on display at Wheaton College, just a few miles away. If you are looking to get away from it all....this is it.

    The home has many original features and has all hardwood floors on the main level. In the family room you will find the fireplace and large Plasma TV with surround sound. The home is nestled amongst large trees and beautiful gardens...truly a wonderful place to call home while visiting Historic Glen Ellyn and neighboring towns as well as Chicago and all that it has to offer. With our Metra station with in a 10 minute walk down town Chicago can be reached from there as quickly as 30 minutes!!!

Great House!

The Davis House is wonderful—large, spacious—and just as described in the listing. It really is fully equipped with just about anything one would need. Beds are comfortable, water pressure is great and the laundry room on the second floor is terrific. William is a gracious owner and answered all our questions promptly. He was a pleasure to work with and it was a pleasure to stay here. We will definitely be back.

The house was beautiful and well maintained. Very comfortable interior with an equally private patio and yard. Fantastic character inside and out. We all enjoyed our stay, absolutely a beautiful house. So very interesting to walk around and look at everything. The back deck was very nice, beautiful yard too. The neighborhood was great too. Just. Stunning.

We visited family in Glen Ellyn and adored the Davis House! William was a pleasure to work with, and the small dog decorations made us feel right at home with our 3 pugs and Lhasa apso. Outdoor fountain, jetted tub, wonderfully mature neighborhood, oh and the sun room right off the master bedroom. Thanks SO much for a stay that exceeded all expectations!

Wonderful Davis House

My senior citizen cousins and I stayed at the Davis house for three nights. It was LOVELY! The architecture, furnishings and amenities were even nicer than listed in the ad. The price was great, as well. William was very communicative and even left us a couple of welcome gifts. Best VRBO stay EVER! Thank you for sharing your home.

Family gathering to visit oldest son who lives in Chicago-land area. This was the perfect property for all of us (5 adults) to gather. A home with plenty of room and an abundance of charm! The neighborhood is fabulous. Quiet, peaceful and very clean. Just a few short minutes to the train into Chicago. Downtown Glen Ellyn is also very nice with some great restaurants! Wow! What a gem!

This property was a delight from beginning to end. It is way bigger than it looks in the pics, the beds are SO comfortable, and it is in a beautiful neighborhood walkable to a little downtown area. The kids loved exploring the beautiful yard. The kitchen was stocked like someone actually lives and cooks there, none of the sparse beat up equipment you often find in other rentals. My only caution is to make sure everyone in your party is steady on their feet. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, in the way that antique stairs are. We would love to stay again when in the area!

Perfect VRBO - We wanted to move it!

This is truly a gem of a property. The old home is fantastic and well-equipped. The kitchen is one of my dreams. There are many spaces so no one is tripping over each other. Beds are very comfortable and the master bath is something of my dreams. Home has lovely outdoor space and we enjoyed watching the birds bathe in the birdbath. Home is surrounded by bushes so is quite secluded while still being in a bustling suburb of Chicago. Already planning another visit with some friends!
