Looks nice but...

Pros: Location.
Cons: Everything almost, see above.
Location: Right on Michigan street, close to a lot of good eats including Giordano's! The Park is close by, also.
The pictures on Expedia is the main reason I decided to book my stay here (combined with the location). After staying here for two nights (in town for a concert and Cubs game), we would never stay here again. As soon as we first walked in the room there was an overwhelming BO smell and was a little warm. We even had a hard time falling asleep because it was so warm. My girlfriend talked me out of asking for a new room but otherwise I would have. Also, the bed sheet didn't even fit the mattress in our room! The wi-fi was extremely slow and there's not even a minifridge. The basic amenities you'd expect for a hotel at this price point are really lacking. Also there was something like a tablet on the nightstand that didn’t work, so not sure what that was for. One cool thing about this place (because of the rock music theme, obviously) is that you can play an electric guitar in your room or the lobby. We didn't take advantage of this but the offering was cool to me. The location wasn't bad, pretty close to Millennium Park. Half hour walk to Navy Pier (although I'd recommend taking an Uber or something. We had minimal contact with hotel staff. Either way, would not recommend.

Nice hotel right on the magnificent mile

The only part I didn't like about the hotel is that there wasn't a mini fridge in the room. Other than that everything was perfect, the hotel staff was extremely accommodating.

Nice hotel right on the Mile.

It was a nice hotel- was not worth the extra $$ to upgrade into the upper floors. We were on the 25th floor, our windows didn't close right- ended up with little bugs in our room.

A few nights stay with some Aerosmith!

The rooms were big, the music was on, and the bed was comfy! Plus it is perfectly located in the heart of Chicago without the super pricey rooms but with the super pricey room amenities. Only wish was that we had a fridge and microwave in the room.

Everything was basically great...however I feel the shower design wasn't great. Had to use towels to soak up the water off the floor that was on the exterior of the shower, each time we took a shower. It's a open shower with a glass wall that doesn't extend long enough to prevent the water from spraying all on the floor.

We are fortunate enough to not have all of our showers with that design, but rather a standard tub with a shower curtain. We can always take requests on room/bathroom preference. Hotel needs updating

I was really looking forward at staying at the hard rock. Upon arrival the valet was a little curt. There was no bellman to help us to our room. For the cost of the hotel you could stay some where much nicer and more more up to date. This hotel seems to be tired. It definitely needs a face lift or at least some TLC. I've stayed at hard rocks before and they are usually outstanding, this one was a miss.

Center of everything!

Having never been to Chicago we wanted a hotel close to everything and this was the place. It was right on Michigan Ave and was in an amazing old building. It was within walking distance to pretty much everything we wanted to see and do. My only complaint was that the pillows were way too soft. Other than that I would highly recommend!

Not even close to the pictures showing up online

Cons: Should upload accurate pictures
The hotel is just ok, but way to expensive for what you get; the rooms are average, not at all like the pictures online; was very disappointed as I thought Hard Rock Hotels were nicer. Would stay there for maybe half the price what I payed.
