You can't be any closer to the night market and there are lots of great food options. We stayed several nights with Chiayi as a base. It was very quiet until someone checked into the room above us. Reception staff hurried you repeatedly for 10 mins late past check our check time and we were already on our way out. Reception staff are very unhelpful when comes to storing luggage after check out. It was told cleaning required for the space and storage services are not available.
