We got the studio room for two nights here and it was awesome. Everything is so clean and put together, they are friendly at the front desk and help you out with whatever you need. The breakfast was included with our room and it was pretty good, the cafe is outside in the garden and they offer more than just the continental breakfast. The only downside to this hotel for some people is the location. It’s a little out of city center or old town, but it’s a 5 minute grab ride to either. Only about 2-3 Miles. Staff were nice but 'hotel' is pushing it. Felt like a hostel really and very 'minimalist' decor which may suit some I guess. The important bit is that it's miles from anywhere and in an industrial area next to a motorway. I'm pretty sure there are better places to stay in Chiang Mai. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at The 51 Hometel. It is newly refurbished, very clean and comfortable - with an "industrial design" - in black, grey and white. Rooms have kettles, tea and coffee (very unusual in Thai hotels), the breakfasts were delicious and the staff speak English and couldn't be more helpful. The 51 Hometel is located in a Thai part of Chiang Mai close to the SuperHighway and about 20 minutes' walk from the city centre.
