Walking distance to the Sunday Market, night markets and many temples. Would stay here again. The staff was great. The water heater in master bath didn't work during stay. Maintenance was sent the second evening to fix it. Said "maybe" something and left. He did get the water heater working 50% in the guest bath. It goes hot to cold in cycles. The room has two seperate bedrooms which was nice traveling with kids. Beds were super firm which we liked. There is no pool and breakfast is not included nor is it served anywhere on the property. If you are looking for a good hotel and you are visiting to be in Old Town, look at google maps, zoom out till you see the square in Chiang Mai. Couldn’t find our booking, system down, eventually got a room, no hot water, only partially cleaned, blown light bulb in bathroom. Changed room, not much better but could see in the bathroom. Bathroom had water leaks and mould, shower head not adjustable so water goes everywhere. Room service missing about 5 days out of seven. No hand towels. Bath towels paper thin, some with holes. No soap, only two tiny plastic body wash and shampoo say 15ml. I could go on and on. Located just outside the northeast corner of old town it is close to everything you need. A short walk to Phae Gate and restaurants. As opposed to the higher prices in Nimman I preferred staying here. There is plenty of local food and western cuisine, but without the cost of Nimman. I stayed for 3 weeks and found the stay great for a long stay solo traveler. Das WLAN war mit Abstand das schlechteste, das wir in ganz Thailand erlebt haben. Die Zimmer sind zudem deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchten dringend eine Renovierung. Wären wegen des Lichterfests nicht alle anderen Hotels ausgebucht gewesen, hätten wir das Hotel sofort gewechselt. We had a basic room, would maybe consider staying again but choose a deluxe room to see the difference as there was no hairdryer, no coffee tea etc. Close to Old City. We had two spacious family rooms for the six of us. The hotel staff is warm, friendly, and accommodating. They helped me print and copy documents that I needed to take to the US Consulate. There is a nice lady in the lobby who will help arrange tours for you for extremely good prices. We had a wonderful driver who spoke excellent English. He took us to many places and in a large, comfortable SUV. The price for the whole day and the many excursions would have cost us hundreds on a travel website compared to the price we paid here in the lobby. There is always a tuktuk outside ready to take you anywhere. The 7-Eleven next door is very convenient. We had a lot of errands to run before our flight, and the hotel staff helped us get a driver in a SUV who stayed with us the whole time and helped us retrieve a lost passport and got us to the airport in time! I was puzzled by the negative reviews, because we had an excellent stay here. Our rooms were extremely comfortable, and we did not have any bugs. Our sheets were clean. When I blew a fuse, the staff fixed it in less than three minutes. They were amazing. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. My family misses it. Even my husband, who is used to staying at 5-star hotels says he loves this place and didn't want to leave.
