Myself and 7 other family members booked rooms here based off of the location we desired. The owner Rund, and her daughter were so incredibly helpful with anything we needed. I mean anything. They were there for us! 100% our next visit we will be staying with them again and every visit thereafter!!! Some of the amazing things we love about this place and nearby: Our laundry came back smelling amazing. They provided fans for white noise even though the air con works great! Early mornings you can watch the monks collect donations and prayers to the people of Thailand straight off your balcony. It’s within a short walk to the Saturday night food market and Sunday night street market. There’s a great massage place called The herb massage across the street and to the left about 30-40yrds. Our favorite place to eat for inexpensive quick meals is the Coconut shell about 10 min walk. 7/11 about 5 min walk. See you soon Cafe was great to sit outside and have some beers. Cafe de Thaan Aaon was where we ate breakfast daily. P.S. Definitely book for the Happy Elephant Home, The guesthouse hosts can help you with this tour. They let me check-in early and the cleaning lady was very nice and left 2 bottles of water at my door each day. The room I had faced toward the street and could get quite loud but with AirPods and calm music I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep. There are several rooms not facing the street btw. It is extremely close to the Sunday market and is a great location to get around the old city. Affordability is what I was going for and why I chose this place. This is a really cute hotel in an amazing location. Super close to the walking market and really easy to get around from here. Lovely and helpful staff, clean and comfortable large rooms and a well priced massage spa right in the hotel. My only concern with this hotel (and it's a major one because as nice as it was I won't stay here again) is the stairs...we were on the top floor and as there is no elevator it was eight flights of stairs to get to and from our room which wouldn't be so bad but the stairs are steep and not too wide so I was literally holding (as in gripping) on to the railing the whole way down and carrying bags and suitcases up and down was a total nightmare. Staff were friendly and location is good. However, the room was way too small, felt very claustrophobic. Thankfully we got moved to a hotel facing the road rather than the alley and that made it a little better. Bathroom door was also fairly transparent so you see and hear everything, bathroom itself is tiny. The shower didn't get particularly warm so on colder days you were effectively showering with tepid water. Der Tuc Tuc Fahrer fand es nicht, so musste ich mich selbst auf die Suche begeben. Freundlicher Empfang, angenehme Atmosphäre und im zweiten Stock das Zimmer mit Blick auf Tempel und Berge. Das Zimmet sauber, das Bad klein aber vollkommen ausreichend im modernen Betonstil. Die Straße ist zwar laut, ein Zimmerwechsel hinten raus wäre problemlos möglich gewesen, doch der nette kleine Balkon und die Aussicht haben mich überzeugt. ##### Jens Stayed 3 nights in Dec 2017 ### 8/10 Good #### Paul 15 Jul 2017 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort #### Great location, nice hotel Great location, no restaurant on site despite signage and previous reviews, it has been changed into another massage room (there are thousands in Chiang Mai) but there are plenty of places close by to eat. Room was nice though quite small and could have been a bit cleaner. We had been spoilt by our first hotel in Chiang Mai which was stunning and cheaper (a special deal which we could not extend). Staff were helpful and seemed very nice, they organised our airport early morning Taxi for us and we used their laundry service which was excellent. Ausblick auf einen kleinen hübschen Tempel. Unser Zimmer war im dritten Stock. Mit Rucksäcken kein Problem aber mit Koffern hätte ich auf der steilen Treppe ein Problem gehabt. ;) Wir haben außerdem den Wäscheservice für 60 Bath in Anspruch genommen und nachmittags dann in einer staubigen Seitenstraße unter dem Schild wash+dry for 30 Bath unsere T-Shirts wieder entdeckt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne mit der Buchung von Tours und Transfers. Die Zimmer sind modern, sauber und haben einen Balkon. Sie bieten auch Massagen an und das wi-fi ist gut.
