This was a nice solo stay at the Noble Baan. If you are looking to avoid a hostel stay, this is a budget hotel that does the job. I appreciated that it had a balcony. You will need a scooter or to take taxis if you stay here, but I personally prefer to save on lodging and have a scooter. If you are scared of renting a scooter you can use rideshare apps to hire a scooter or car with driver to take you into the city.

オーナーのウーさんには大変お世話になりました。日本語が話せるのでコミュニケーションもしやすかったです！ 場所は旧市街までタクシーで10分くらい、歩いても15分くらいで行けます。ただ道が入り組んでいるためマップアプリは必要でした。 お部屋は清潔感があり、周りも静かでとても快適に過ごせました。近くに市場があり、そこで食事を買ってきて済ますこともできました。 町から少し離れているので、静かに過ごしたい方にはおススメです！！また泊まらせていただきます。

#### Brand new, beautiful and clean hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Baan Pastel Hotel! The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is new, spacious, and very clean, with a cute balcony. We liked the location in a quiet neighborhood near the south part of the old city as it was nice to come home to such a peaceful neighborhood after the noise and crowd of the old city. If you're here on a Saturday night be sure to visit the Saturday Night Market which is nearby. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we're in Chiang Mai!
