That's the nicer kind of luxury. There are all the shops nearby and if you're looking for a really good restaurant for lunch or dinner, you should of course go to ‘So Sood’ just down the road. It is in the heart of chiang mai. Tons if restaurants, coffee shops and massage clinics near by. The morning breakfast is great and you choose from her menu. She is very accommodating and the husband runs the coffee shop. Great coffee. They have a mango tree and a nice dog too. They were extremely helpful with our questions and went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect stay. Nom cooks a lovely Thai breakfast according to your tastebuds, rooms are simple but very clean and the front area of the hotel is truly a nice place to escape to, away from the busy streets of old town. The cafe provides well for guests and tranquillity sets in, before venturing out to see another formidable temple. The location is perfect — right in the centre of the Old City and just a short walk to Wat Chedi Luang and the lively Sunday Night Market. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable. The property itself is charming and cosy, run by a genuinely friendly couple who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The wife manages the hotel with great care, while the husband runs a lovely little café right in the front yard — a delightful spot to relax before starting your day. With only about 11 rooms, the boutique feel is strong. My room was impressively spacious, extremely clean, and very well maintained. The entire property is spotless, and I appreciated their no-shoes policy around the rooms and shared areas — it kept everything fresh and pristine throughout my stay. Overall, Gord Nuea Boutique House offers comfort, warmth, and a personal touch that really enhances the Chiang Mai experience. The place was wonderful! It was quaint, relaxed, quiet, and beautiful. On top of that, it is located inside the square, so it's within walking distance of many interesting landmarks. There are a lot of great places to eat nearby as well. The service was amazing, there were daily little snack deserts and breakfast was a-la-carte.
