As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful.
The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Reception is plush but rooms are sparse. The heating didnt work and it was minus 4 outside. I had to go to reception several times before they would help and the staff were hostile. They said there was nothing they could do..even the manager. The maintenance man who was nice eventually brought us ...
