Whether you’re welcoming summer sunshine or celebrating an autumn harvest, your visit to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm will get you in the farming spirit. From hay jumps to a corn maze, more than 50 fun farm activities and attractions are available and included with admission. Bring plenty of energy and a hearty appetite for fresh apple cider doughnuts.

The family-owned, completely solar-operated farm is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. More than 300 acres (120 hectares) host countless crop varieties, many of which are available for sale to take home or pick on your own. Throughout the summer, you can aim apple blasters, take on the kids in a straw bale race or coo at just-hatched chicks.

Once the crisp air of fall arrives, it’s time to pick your own pumpkins, tackle the 5-acre (2-hectare) corn maze by day or night, take a tractor ride and visit with the farm animals. The fun continues with the in-ground trampoline, corn barn, duck races, paintball, pedal carts, gem mining and other activities.

That fresh-air fun will whet any appetite. Satisfy it with a hearty lunch or dinner at Maizie’s Dairy Barn. Tasty items include beef burgers, pulled-pork sandwiches, fresh salads, farm-fresh roasted sweet corn, milkshakes and pies.

Make it a full day of Lancaster County adventure by riding the historic Strasburg Rail Road to the farm. Ride in the coach or open-air cars or charter a spot in the President’s Car, First Class Parlor Car or First Class Lounge, all pulled by a working steam locomotive. Arrange an in-cab experience or ride with Thomas the Tank. Hop off at the Groff’s Grove picnic area from here you’ll be able to walk to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm in about 5 minutes.
