"I had to scurry and find a hotel in Seoul. I found Hotel the May and will definitely be back. Property is gorgeous, staff is amicable and helpful and the surrounding area has multiple restaurants. A bit off the beaten track for tourist attractions, but that was what I was looking for. Will definitely be visiting again soon!"

"Do not stay here on the off season if you don't have a car! There are no taxis around! The floor heat was never warm enough and it went off at night so we woke up to freezing weather. The bed heat pads were nice, but we ended up going to bed at 5pm to stay warm."

"즉흥적으로 가서 큰 기대 안했던 숙소 였는데 룸 깨끗하였고 ott를 다양하게 편하게 이용할수 있었음. 그리고 5층을 호텔 이름 처럼 다락같이 꾸며 놓으셔서 4.5성 호텔에서 느낄수 없는 아기자기한 재미가 있었음. 조식을 해먹을수 있게 과일,토스트,시리얼, 커피 등등 비치해두셨는데 양심없는 사람들이 몰래 다 가져가서 적자 나실까봐 걱정되었음. 사장님이 정말 친절하셔서 더 마음이 감. 남편과 즉흥적으로 자주 자주 가자고 얘기함. "

"They had smoking rooms, which are hard to find these days. The staff (front desk and housekeeping) were very friendly and helpful. Although the washer/dryer was small, it was free, which came in very handy for us. Although the room was small with no closet, it was very clean and comfortable. So many restaurants within walking distance. All in all, it's not a high-end hotel, but great value for the price."

"Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It was very hard to sleep every night. I sleep on my side and my ribs and hip would start hurting after a couple minutes. If you are ok with a hard bed, then everything else was fine. Room was very clean. The owner was super attentive and nice. Air conditioner worked and the room has a great view. "The Grand Hyatt Seoul has a fantastic location above Itaewon with beautiful views, and that's about all it has going for it. The service was among the worst I have experienced at a hotel in this category. I repeatedly asked for housekeeping and no one ever came. Turndown service simply doesn't exist here. For a property charging luxury rates, these are basics, not extras. Credit where it's due: a manager kindly moved me to a renovated room, which was a welcome gesture, and breakfast was decent enough. But one helpful staff member cannot make up for a hotel that seems indifferent to its guests. If you are considering the Grand Hyatt for a Seoul trip, I would strongly recommend the Four Seasons instead — comparable location in old Seoul, and they actually understand what service means."
