This was our second visit to this perfect little cosy nest. Excellent location for touring the Cotswolds. Peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. Very clean and so well equipped.. Such a cosy little nest to retreat to after a day out. Our recommendations from last year were acted on, and this place is now perfect! We look forward to returning again in the future. The only con was a slanting ceiling apart from that it was OK.pros were it was very clean and a comfy bed. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Catharine N. 7 Nov 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Beautiful location Stayed for long weekend to attend a wedding on Sunday. Just needed somewhere to sleep as we were intending to eat out but needed somewhere that took a dog. This place was ideal. We are not very tall so larger people would struggle with its compactness and low ceilings. But for us it worked just fine. Very clean, warm and cosy. We had a lovely stay ##### Catharine N. Stayed 3 nights in Nov 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Alan B. 9 Dec 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Lovely flat, set out nicely. Lovely flat only problem being toilet was hard to flush, perhaps owners can check this for the next person staying. Other than that would visit again. ##### Alan B. Couldn’t stand up properly inside. Child’s sofa. Bad parking area. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 15 Nov 2024 #### Great as a base for short stay Check in at 5pm meant arriving in the dark, location sent via What 3 Words, which we do not use and therefore couldn’t find The Nest. Following a telephone call and guidance we managed to find it, signage needs improving as impossible to see In the dark Great little place to stay to explore the locality. Wouldn’t want to stay longer than a weekend as sofa not comfortable for relaxing. lovely and clean, all the essentials provided, could do with a large wall mirror near a plug for drying hair etc. Heating was a bit random and unable to change it due to needing a passcode, not sure if timer had been reset when clocks went back as radiators were red hot at 04:00 hrs but cold by the time we got up- 06:30 hours, evening heating didn’t come until 18:00hrs, so chilly when we would come back in the afternoon. The Cotswolds is beautiful and we had no trouble finding cosy pubs for evening meals This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 22 Oct 2023 #### Lovely part of the world. We throughly enjoyed our stay in the cotswolds. The Nest at Robins Roost is in a lovely setting and had all we needed for our stay. The property was clean but slightly let down by a number of cobwebs around the lights. The bed is very comfy, however it squeaks heavily. An easy fix with an Allan key. On our last night it was very windy. Not sure if it was the tree hitting the building or something rattling in the car port underneath the property. What ever it was it was enough to cause a sleepless night. I'm not one to complain and would stay again. A few minor easy fixes needed. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 19 Oct 2023 #### Perfect location - temper expectations The Nest is a really cozy get-away stay. The website describes very well what to expect with the sloping ceiling and all. My partner is 189 CM long and because we knew what to expect it was our choice to stay here. That's why we also expected a kingsize bed. But the truth is that we both had issues fitting into the bed. The actual measurements of the bed is 140cm by 200 but the matrass is only 130 by 200 (and the bed shrieks when you move just an inch) . With a duvet that is has exactly the same measurements, 130 by 200 cm, try to fit under that together without poking an eye out. The cleanliness can be worked on, there was a bit dust here and there but overall good enough. Everything else was exactly as described and shown on the website. The kitchen has everything you can think of and I loved it! because of it we cooked ourselves during our stay (a week). The owners are really nice and we enjoyed walking around on the premises to see their lovely natural pond and their chicken who roamed around there too. Wouldn’t recommend go families, couples only. Was in a beautiful location, would recommend , This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 5 Dec 2022 #### Cosy place to stay Cosy nest in a beautiful location. Kitchen could do with a few more pans and oven trays. But overall a very enjoyable stay. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Steve d. 27 Oct 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Steve and Denise It's a lovely little place, everything we needed was at hand, bed was very comfy. Had abit of trouble with the telly, eventually got it going on the last night and the settee was abit uncomfortable but 2 minor things that were far outweighed by all the good things. ##### Steve d. Stayed 4 nights in Oct 2022 This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 18 Oct 2022 #### Wifi was a big issue The room was ok and the kitchen is well equipped. However there was no WIFI or mobile network throughout our stay. There was no advanced notice even though the prob had been persistent for while. We had to drive to somewhere to get signal just to make calls. This was terrible. Also the check In is 5pm instead of the normal 3pm. This has caused inconvenience especially when trying to find this location after dark. The door lock was problematic. We couldn’t open the door on arrival and approached the host for help who wasn’t pleased. The host also left reminders such as “turn off the light when you go out etc”. We felt like we were being watched and lectured. Not a good experience. Shame ### 6/10 Okay #### Steven D. 17 Oct 2022 Liked: Cleanliness #### Compact Fairly small but everything there that you need settee very small and uncomfortable good location for amenities ##### Steven D. Stayed 3 nights in Oct 2022 This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 15 Oct 2022 #### Lovely time in the Cotswolds Lovely place in a great location. Only had a couple of issues the first being that there was no wifi for the first 2 days, which wasn’t the owners fault however when there is also no phone signal did cause a couple of issues. However the main issue was finding 2 used tissues and other rubbish under the bed, well my puppy found them which was not good. Maybe a little bit more attention to detail on the cleaning front. Apart from that’s everything was excellent. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 17 Sept 2022 #### Review of our stay at The Nest A great little 'nest' to retreat to at the end of the day. Very clean and tidy. Ideal location for touring the Cotswolds. Very cosy. The bed is memory foam and although it's very comfy it's not ideal for those who get very hot at night. Extremely well equipped overall, everything we needed was there. Only drawback is that the sofa is not very comfy. Property has low ceilings as you are in the roof space which can provide a height issue, but we found it very quirky. Directions and instructions given were excellent and accurate. Overall we had a fantastic stay, and will be returning. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 16 Aug 2022 #### Cosy conversion We had a lovely couple of nights at The Nest, a perfect name for this cosy little conversion for two. Nicely presented and welcoming hosts, the freshly laid eggs from the bantam hens were delicious. I would have happily extended the stay. It got a bit toasty (but we were in a heatwave) and the atelier attic-style sloping roof might not be great for the giants amongst us. As another reviewer mentioned, the sofa is extraordinarily uncomfortable (but didn't notice it so much after a bottle of wine ) and a mirror in the bedroom would be helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 11 Aug 2022 #### Excellent location but needs better parking The location is fantastic and bed is super comfy. The parking is incredibly difficult to get out of and we damaged our car in the dark as they're are no lights and not enough room to turn with the owners cars parked too. The kitchen had a dishwasher which was a nice touch. The sofa was quite uncomfortable so we just sat at the table or in the bedroom. The bath was lovely but you bump your head against the wall if you use the shower. I would stay in another property by StayCotswold but not the nest as I don't want to damage my car or bump my head again! This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### m l. 21 May 2022 #### Robin's nest stay Great location for a visit to the Cotswolds, All you need for a pleasant stay. Quiet area just outside Bourton on the water. ##### m l. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 8 Mar 2022 #### Lovely little bolt hole Really enjoyed my stay at The Nest; a cosy and comfortable space for a few days for some much needed peace and quiet. It had everything I needed in the kitchen; the fridge has a freezer box that needs defrosting but otherwise it was serviceable for my wants. A great location for easy access to the quintessential Cotswold villages and shops for essentials (you will need a car). A wonderful place to rest for a few days. ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [The Stump](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Stump.h82973614.Hotel-Information) > > [Lords of the Manor Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Lords-Of-The-Manor-Hotel.h17766135.Hotel-Information) > > [The Colesbourne Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Colesbourne-Inn.h3810136.Hotel-Information) > > [Ellenborough Park](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Ellenborough-Park.h27157.Hotel-Information) > > [Old Bank Rooms](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Old-Bank-Rooms.h60035126.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Doubletree-By-Hilton-Cheltenham.h65899.Hotel-Information) > > [The Plough Bed and Breakfast](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Plough-Inn.h12926879.Hotel-Information) > > [Old Manse Hotel Bourton by Greene King Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Old-Manse-Hotel-Bourton-By-Greene-King-Inns.h3075291.Hotel-Information) > > [The Lansdowne](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Lansdowne.h2250337.Hotel-Information) > > [The Greenway Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Greenway-Hotel-Spa.h520203.Hotel-Information) > > [The Wheatsheaf Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Wheatsheaf-Inn.h1218872.Hotel-Information) > > [Dove Cottage beautifully restored Tudor cottage sleeps 6 or 7](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Dove-Cottage-Beautifully-Restored-Tudor-Cottage-Sleeps-6-Or-7.h39418311.Hotel-Information) > > [The Slaughters Country Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Slaughters-Country-Inn.h5484211.Hotel-Information) > > [Cave Hotel & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Faversham-Hotels-Cave-Hotel-Golf-Resort.h33410673.Hotel-Information) > > [The Bell at Stow](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Bell-At-Stow.h35819374.Hotel-Information) > > [The Mousetrap Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Mousetrap-Inn.h2294168.Hotel-Information) > > [The Old New Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Old-New-Inn.h37164164.Hotel-Information) > > [Broadlands Hotel - Adults Only](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Broadlands-Hotel.h2631331.Hotel-Information) > > [Lakes Hotel and Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Windermere-Hotels-Lakes-Hotel-And-Spa.h901040.Hotel-Information) > > [The Stag at Stow](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Stag-At-Stow.h15876871.Hotel-Information) > > [The Lamb Inn Great Rissington](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Lamb-Inn-Great-Rissington.h4592088.Hotel-Information) > > [The Porch House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Porch-House.h4595892.Hotel-Information) > > [The Frogmill](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Frogmill.h23324533.Hotel-Information) > > [Cowley Manor Experimental](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Cowley-Manor.h1662540.Hotel-Information) > > [Wyck Hill House Hotel And Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Wyck-Hill-House-Hotel-And-Spa.h558527.Hotel-Information) > > [The Charlton Boutique Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Charlton-Boutique-Hotel.h84515831.Hotel-Information) > > [Oakey Cottage](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Cotswold-Cottage-Gems-Oakey-Cottage.h67269735.Hotel-Information) > > [The Dial House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Dial-House.h3883874.Hotel-Information) > > [Rising Sun Hotel by Greene King Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Rising-Sun-Hotel-By-Greene-King-Inns.h63601.Hotel-Information) > > [The Slaughters Manor House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Slaughters-Manor-House.h790467.Hotel-Information)
