Stunning Cotswold stone cottage
We visit the Cotswolds every year as a group of nine old friends, and this cottage has been the best place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away — a stunning Cotswold stone home with so much space, beautifully decorated, and absolutely spotless. It felt instantly welcoming and comfortable.
The village is lovely and peaceful, tucked away from the main tourist spots but with everything you could possibly need. There are gorgeous walks straight from the door and some fantastic country pubs within walking distance — perfect for lazy afternoons and evenings together.
Kevin, the manager, was brilliant — great communication and so helpful from start to finish.
We honestly didn’t want to leave. This cottage has everything you could wish for — beautiful, relaxing, and full of charm. Can’t wait to come back next year!

A lovely stay
We stayed for my mum’s 70th birthday and had a lovely time. Shona and Kevin were really helpful with anything we needed.
The garden was superb and great fun for our little ones. The house had plenty of space for all 9 of us (including children). The bedrooms were lovely and the village was just perfect with 2 coffee stops 2 mins away, a lovely pub and seconds from a beautiful walk through the valley. What more could you ask for.
A wonderfully warm and homely house- beautifully decorated and fitted out. It was perfect for our family of 4 couples and 3 children. Great garden and play equipment. We had a lovely time.

Family celebration
A beautiful house in a lovely village with its pubs and small shop/cafe. It catered for all our needs, adults and children alike. Spacious and comfortable with access to footpaths and other villages and towns. In summer the garden would be ideal for family and friends gatherings. A most enjoyable week. Thank you.

Beautiful Cotswold Property...
I chose Laurel Tree Cottage for a birthday weekend with friends & the house did not disappoint, fabulous in every way. Beautiful property & the setting equally so. House was immaculate & easily accommodated 9 guests, large enclosed garden to enjoy also & the kitchen leading to the garden seating area was perfect for sitting out in the warm summer evenings. Short walk into the village of Guiting Power, which had a lovely coffee shop & pub, where the staff & locals were all very friendly. Plenty of walks on your doorstep also. Couldn't fault the property & the welcome gifts were a nice touch on arrival. We were able to check into the property at anytime on the Friday & were also told we could check out later on the Sunday, neither of which we requested, so it was a nice bonus. Would definitely book Laurel Tree Cottage again.

Perfect for attending Guiting Music Festival
We wanted somewhere in the village as we attended concerts every evening and it was convenient to be able to walk back. The two pubs are very different but both serve good food and beer, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cottage is in a quiet lane with little passing traffic, and there are good walks from the doorstep.

Bliss in the Cotswolds
This house was absolutely perfect for a family gathering of adults with dogs. The house was very comfortable and well provisioned. Walks from the house were great with the dogs. The pub in the village was welcoming and the Post Office shop/cafe and farm shop provided some extra treats!
With the location only ten minutes from Stow, we had everything we needed close by. The Fox at Oddington was an excellent venue for supper.
A welcome and information book would have been useful.
The week was a huge success so thank you!

Wonderful stay in a wonderful home in a wonderful place
A simply stunning break. A lovely property which I can't fault, in a stunning part of the country. It was idyllic. Perfectly positioned to explore further afield but equally we enjoyed a few days just in the beautiful gardens and house. Guiting Power is a 2 minute walk away and has all you need for slotting in to village life. Great communication with Kevin the property manager who even allowed us to arrive earlier. Would definitely recommend

Lovely house
We had a wonderful week here celebrating family birthdays. The house is in a fantastic location with walks from the door. We enjoyed the house, especially the large kitchen and lovely garden including play area. Comfortable beds and beautiful interior.
We did feel that the kitchen needs a larger oven and hob. The Aga was off due to summer, and two rings plus small oven was insufficient to cook for a crowd.
That apart we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pre-Christmas family do
What3words - brilliant!
We all loved the cottage! So welcoming and cosy yet super spacious! Lots of lovely seating areas so we could all find somewhere to sit to read, watch TV, play games or even craft!
Beautiful decor throughout! There were lots of oohs and ahs as we spotted the wooden candelabra in the kitchen or the beautiful bowl in the living room .. or the gorgeous burnt orange sofa (my favourite).
Great location .. lovely village a short walk one way, a great walking route the other!
Felt like I’d won the Omaze house lottery!!
Hope to be back next Christmas! Though I think it would be a perfect spot in summer too.

A beautiful house - shame about the cleanliness
I had read other reviews that the cleanliness was not up to scratch so I was prepared (& armed) with cleaning products. It’s a shame that I had to spend time cleaning the house when I should’ve been enjoying it. Most utensils provided & rooms are spacious & homely. Decor is lovely. Needs a deep clean. The beds are a bit creaky! Overall expensive but the house is huge so forgivable, just wish it was cleaner!

Great holiday house
We had a wonderful holiday at Laurel Tree Cottage. The house is fantastic with plenty of room to spread out. We were a big family with ages ranging from 2 to 92. We were able to use the snug as an indoor play area. The decor and furnishings are very beautiful and tasteful. We had everything we needed. It was good to have coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper and oil provided. The bread and butter left for us were delicious. The bedrooms were very comfortable and great bathrooms. It was very thoughtful of the owner to provide stairgates and so many toys for children.
We loved the garden and my grandson enjoyed playing on the swings, slide, trampolene and the little playhouse.
The house is ideally situated to see many of the Cotswolds sights. We had enjoyable meals in the village pubs and the Post Office cafe.
We would love to stay again.

A fabulous bolt-hole in Cotswold Village of great character
Laurel Tree Cottage is ideally situated in the heart of the characterful Cotswold Village of Guiting Power. The spread of accommodation across 3 floors provides spacious rooms - perhaps best suited to families and close friends. The main kitchen and dining area are a little "tight" but adequate for the maximum number that Laurel Cottage can accommodate. The living rooms felt a little dark on dull days and the evenings tho lighting is fine. All beds were "comfy".
Food shops, restaurants, pubs etc are all on the door step for those who want to leave behind the motor car. The old Post Office (scrumptious goodies), The Cotswold Guy (for up market ready meals and lunch time treats) and good local beers and fayre at the Farmers Arms, mean traditionalist are superbly catered for. The network of footpaths from the village is great with large numbers of classic Cotswold walks within a few minutes drive.
A most enjoyable stay.

Family long weekend
Lovely house in a great location with very pretty countryside. We were 11 adult members of a family who live in different parts of the country and the world getting together and celebrating a 86th birthday.Overall we had a lovely stay.
We had an enjoyable meal at the Hollow bottom and those who went to the Post Office cafe were well satisfied too. The weather was not great so we didn't get to explore as much of the countryside around as we would have liked.
The size and configuration of the rooms suited us well but as others have said before, there were a few niggles. The biggest was the cooking amenities for a house for 11 people. If you are not using the Aga, the hob and oven are very small and even boiling pasta and making a sauce at the same time for just six of us on our first evening was tricky. There are lapses such as lack of instructions for appliances such as the Nespresso machine, waste disposal in the kitchen sink etc We also found it difficult to get cold water from the sink tap. A handbook would be very handy.
Other things are a bit tired and shabby such as the wooden bench and chairs in the garden, knobs falling off taps in a bathroom and the sofa in the kitchen/diner. The bedrooms were stuffy at night and maybe doorstops/wedges would help to get some cross ventilation.

We stayed for a family gathering for a weekend. The house is excellent and is very comfortable. Two nice pubs within walking distance
