The house was comfortable and located opposite Majestic Wine and M&S which was great for picking up food and drink whilst we were there. A few extra loo rolls, bigger towels for longer than a 1 night stay, and mini shampoo/conditioner would have been great for that extra special touch. Lovely beds and bathroom -- very comfortable------------------------------------ ##### sally T. Bonus of allocated parking for when its busy. ### 6/10 Okay #### Amanda 7 Sept 2025 Disliked: Amenities, communication beautiful cottage with a feeling of the cotswolds. we enjoyed it and liked having a kitchen and laundry. We were disappointed to go for the enire first day of our 3 days there without a WI-FI code. We received only 3 towels for 4 people, and only 1.25 rolls of toilet tissue. I understand that short term stay arrangements often expect customers will purchase hygiene items, but seriously! That is not enough toilet paper...There was no information about how to unlock the back door, so we could not access the outdoor area, use the grill or even locate the garbage bins. Really disappointing for the amount of money we paid. Terrible communication that could be fixed with a simple flyer or brochure on the table telling customers how to use the back door, what the WIFI code is, how to use the TV channels, turn on the radiators, etc. ##### Amanda Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2025 This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 20 May 2024 #### Such a great find Heath Cottage was perfect for the 5 of us. Loved the quirky bedrooms with comfortable beds. Great location, yes it’s on a main road but once inside you don’t notice and there’s parking. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather so had breakfast in the garden each morning. My only negative is we couldn’t find a tea tray such a minor thing from a great weekend of pure escapism! ### 10/10 Excellent #### Alison C. 20 Mar 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy #### Very well equips and cosy cottage Very good. Although no one explained the key was round the back of the cottage until we telephoned. ##### Alison C. Stayed 4 nights in Mar 2023 This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Tracy L. 5 Jan 2024 #### New year stay. Lovely little cottage with room for us all - 4 adults and a toddler. Only trouble was when the washing machine was on for baby stuff, the draining water flooded the kitchen. Came right under the door from outside, so we only used it once! Otherwise we had a great time. Close to the town centre to walk in and enough parking for both cars. ##### Tracy L. We do an annual Cotswold trip just before Christmas and I’m so glad we found this cottage. Everything was perfect! A few cobwebs but that’s to be expected in an old house. Very glad that things like washing up liquid, soap and dishwasher tablets were provided. The bedlinen was beautiful and the beds so comfy! The lounge was most definitely ours (and our mini dachshunds) favourite room with the lovely log burner. We have booked for next year and cannot wait to come back! There were a few dusty spots with large old cobwebs hanging at the top of the stairs. The house was kept very warm which was good. Sadly there was no Tin foil, hand wash (in any bathroom), dish clothes, dish washer tablets or tea towels. We had to go shopping as soon as we got there but left it behind for the next guests. Washing your hands should be a bare minimum. It was located very well near the centre and just a stones throw for all the shops. Although a very quaint cottage that is expected in the Cotswold, the property needs some touch ups. With it being dog friendly, you can smell this in the house and upholstery. There is also an issue with the upstairs bathroom (shower) leaking to downstairs. Although not a huge issue whilst being there, I am sure the landlord would prefer this to be fixed before it creates further damage. The cottage is located just off the main road and parking was fine, on street. There was plenty of crockery and amenities (although no coffee granules left). There is an M&S petrol station across the road which was handy. Located closely to the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold. The Porch House was lovely for Dinner! Overall, the cottage served its purpose but could have been cleaner. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 18 Sept 2023 #### Mixed feelings The property location is something of a double-edged sword. Very close to all the amenities of Stow but yards from the very busy A429, with its heavy traffic, including a fair few emergency vehicles hurtling past. Weather was warm but given traffic noise, opening bedroom windows wasn’t an attractive option. Property is either quaint or given steep stairs, low ceilings and awkward layout of 2 bedrooms in the eaves, a bit annoying, depending on your point of view, though to be fair, it was alluded to in the literature. It was clean overall but extractor fans weren’t working in the upstairs bathroom and there was some staining to soft furnishings. It was pretty well equipped and did the job but given the above, probably won’t return. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### Jennifer T. 12 Dec 2022 #### Fantastic location but could be better equipped Great location and lovely old cottage, which was warm and inviting when we arrived. However, there was no privacy in the living room as there was a window blind missing - this room faces the main road so anyone passing could look in. The ceiling lights in the dining room did not work but there were lamps that could be used instead, the thermostat was hanging off the wall. There was ample crockery but on the whole the kitchen was poorly equipped and in desperate need of a refurb. ##### Jennifer T. ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [The Stump](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Stump.h82973614.Hotel-Information) > > [Cowley Manor Experimental](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Cowley-Manor.h1662540.Hotel-Information) > > [Wyck Hill House Hotel And Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Wyck-Hill-House-Hotel-And-Spa.h558527.Hotel-Information) > > [Lakes Hotel and Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Windermere-Hotels-Lakes-Hotel-And-Spa.h901040.Hotel-Information) > > [Oakey Cottage](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Cotswold-Cottage-Gems-Oakey-Cottage.h67269735.Hotel-Information) > > [The Dial House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Dial-House.h3883874.Hotel-Information) > > [ibis budget Manchester Airport](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Ibis-Budget-Manchester-Airport.h75715089.Hotel-Information) > > [Old Manse Hotel Bourton by Greene King Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Old-Manse-Hotel-Bourton-By-Greene-King-Inns.h3075291.Hotel-Information) > > [The Lansdowne](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Lansdowne.h2250337.Hotel-Information) > > [Lords of the Manor Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Lords-Of-The-Manor-Hotel.h17766135.Hotel-Information) > > [The Colesbourne Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Colesbourne-Inn.h3810136.Hotel-Information) > > [The Charlton Boutique Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Charlton-Boutique-Hotel.h84515831.Hotel-Information) > > [Old Bank Rooms](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Old-Bank-Rooms.h60035126.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Doubletree-By-Hilton-Cheltenham.h65899.Hotel-Information) > > [The Plough Bed and Breakfast](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Plough-Inn.h12926879.Hotel-Information) > > [The Mousetrap Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Mousetrap-Inn.h2294168.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Chester-Hotels-DoubleTree-By-Hilton-Hotel-And-Spa-Chester.h527788.Hotel-Information) > > [The Greenway Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Greenway-Hotel-Spa.h520203.Hotel-Information) > > [The Wheatsheaf Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Wheatsheaf-Inn.h1218872.Hotel-Information) > > [Ellenborough Park](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Ellenborough-Park.h27157.Hotel-Information) > > [The Slaughters Country Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Slaughters-Country-Inn.h5484211.Hotel-Information) > > [Cave Hotel & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Faversham-Hotels-Cave-Hotel-Golf-Resort.h33410673.Hotel-Information) > > [The Frogmill](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Frogmill.h23324533.Hotel-Information) > > [The Old New Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Old-New-Inn.h37164164.Hotel-Information) > > [Broadlands Hotel - Adults Only](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Broadlands-Hotel.h2631331.Hotel-Information) > > [Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Chester-Hotels-Grosvenor-Pulford-Hotel-Spa.h790572.Hotel-Information) > > [Dove Cottage beautifully restored Tudor cottage sleeps 6 or 7](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Dove-Cottage-Beautifully-Restored-Tudor-Cottage-Sleeps-6-Or-7.h39418311.Hotel-Information) > > [The Lamb Inn Great Rissington](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Lamb-Inn-Great-Rissington.h4592088.Hotel-Information) > > [Rising Sun Hotel by Greene King Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Rising-Sun-Hotel-By-Greene-King-Inns.h63601.Hotel-Information) > > [The Slaughters Manor House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-The-Slaughters-Manor-House.h790467.Hotel-Information)
