Northleach has everything you need for a country escape, with a butchers, bakers, grocers, wine bar, cafe and award winning pub - The Wheatsheaf Inn. The cottage was built over 300 years ago and has many character features such as exposed brick work, wooden beam, wood burning fire. It's an excellent base for country walks and exploring the rest of the Cotswolds with Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Cheltenham all within a 20 minute drive. The main bedroom was on the top floor, with no light bulbs on the stairs or in the bedroom. The bathroom was on the first (middle) floor. This made using the top floor dangerous. There were also non working bulbs in the porch making entry dangerous. Despite reporting these problems no action was taken to rectify them, The kitchen sink (U bend ) leaked and the kitchen floor was wet and soaked our feet. We put a Pyrex under the U bend to catch the water, There was no welcome pack, guidance to use facilities and no parking on site.
