Reference No.200107-000594 Flight booked in conjunction with a coach tour departing Birmingham Sunday 22/12/19. Flight subsequently cancelled with option to fly to Manchester on Friday 20/12/19. This option accepted so as not to miss the tour, and coach fare from Manchester to Birmingham reimbursed. Taking a National Express coach was my choice as it was the cheapest form of transport but not the quickest. A train at four times the expense would have been preferable but elected for coach in case Flybe wouldn't reimburse. An extra nights car parking at Lyon had to be paid for. However, my claim for the extra overnight accommodation caused by the cancelled flight has not been reimbursed so I find that as a result of this flight change I am £85 out of pocket. I'm aware of your terms and conditions which were written to suit Flybe but not their customers. Other costs were incurred during the extra day at Birmingham caused through no fault of our own. Difficulty was experienced pre-booking the baggage and I was challenged about a suitcase on checking in at Lyon but was able to produce a receipt. Pre-booking the baggage for the return necessitated a phone call to Flybe. The times of the return flight was changed twice from the original booking. I am now looking at this from a legal perspective with a view to making a small claim. This has altogether been a disagreeable experience. I will not be flying with Flybe again not will I recommend.
