"This is the second time we have stopped here. Last time, great - no problems, but this time was awful. We arrived very late (06:00) due to delays. Check-in was fine as the day shift had started work! When we opened the room door, we were greeted with the most awful reek of cigarettes. The room just stank☹️. Obviously the hotel staff were aware of the problem as the window was left wide open. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if we had checked in the day before and the window...

"We had a lovely two day stay at Les Chambres du Chapitre. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. Our room was lovely, filled with antiques but had a very comfortable large bed and a place to sit. The bathroom was modern and squeaky clean. The room was very large with lovely big windows. Breakfast had a very nice variety of very fresh items. We were able to store our bikes in their courtyard but they also had a separate garage where they could be stored. "

"First issue was Hotels.com confirmation had not made it through to the manager and the hotel was meant to be full. However the manager was brilliant. Sorted out dinner, phoned other guests that hadn’t arrived yet and by the time we finished dinner we were in. Excellent service. My only criticisms was the room was too hot so we had to open the window and the hotel is quite close to the church and the bells chime every 15 mins."

"We checked in at 8.35 pm and there seemed to be some confusion as to who we were. Eventually after some between staff discussions, we’re taken to a room which was not the one we booked. Staff didn’t speak much English but there were 4 beds so was the minimum. They provided with one small bottle of water for 4! Room was very hot and no ac. Tap on kitchenette sprayed water from Body of tap, splash back missing and the kitchenette divider was also missing. Overall, the place had a feel of somewhere...

"Four motorcycle riders used a chalet as an overnight halt. The chalets are spacious and clean enough although soap and towels would have been nice. The Welcome area is staffed by pleasant ladies and the included breakfast was adequate. It suited us an an overnight stop but it’s really a holiday venue by the side of a large well managed lake. "
