A favorite pastime of residents and visitors alike is watching commercial fishing boats unload their haul for the day at the fish pier (a half mile away). Downtown Chatham is less than a mile from the home. Here you'll find restaurants (The Chatham Squire, Impudent Oyster, Bluefins Saki & Sushi Bar) and plenty of shopping. There are also many attractions within a mile, including Cape Cod Baseball League games at Veterans Field, films at the historic Chatham Orpheum; Oyster Pond Beach for swimming; and fun exhibits at the Shark Center, where you can learn all about Atlantic White Sharks. Kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of pots pans cooking utensils, nice wine glasses. It was roomy enough for all to spread out, and we loved the outdoor shower. One reason for the 4 vs 5 star on location is due to the busy street the house is on, lot of traffic. But a plus to the location was being able to walk into town, or to the small beach near the Fish Pier. The upstairs layout was a bit of a surprise, with one bedroom between 2 the other 2\. One bedroom had access to the bathroom, but the end bedroom would have to walk though the middle bedroom to reach the upstairs bathroom. There was a staircase from the end bedroom down into the garage then back into the house to access the downstairs bathroom, which is what we did so the middle bedroom not disturbed...this worked for us but might not for older people. ##### marilyn w. The property is extremely well maintained and what is shown and stated in the literature is exactly what you get. The location is ideal with short walks or short rides to many nearby shops, restaurants and attractions. The communication from the hosts was most impressive and no question was left unanswered.
