"This was a delightful surprise after the "not-exactly" place we left two days early in Bergerac. It's a beautiful property with true French farmhouse charm. The listing is accurate -- it's small and cozy and everything we needed. The woman who checked us in made sure we could use the wifi, identified where to eat that night (a nearby pizza place delivers!) and helped us locate the bikes, which we unfortunately didn't have time to use. We ended up grilling on their charcoal barbecue, which worked great. The host Roland checked on us during our stay to make sure all was well. The stairs to the loft bedroom are a little steep, but not a problem if you are fit. We would return here and spend more time next trip, St. Emilon and the neighboring villages are wonderful!"

"This is a rustic, two bedroom cottage property about a 35 minute walk (uphill!) to St Emilion old town. Located in the the vineyards, it's fine if you have a bicycle or similar. It's only 5 mins by car but then you have parking to deal with in the town. It's on a slightly dusty track to don't arrive in heels or immaculate white clothing. Warmly welcomed by Hassan, his wife and daughter, I was shown the shared downstairs area and my room. They do not live on the property. No elevator obviously so hope your bag is light (mine wasn't!). Rooms are pleasant and have good air conditioning. Hassan offers wine for sale and Dinner is available if you want. It's a Moroccan themed dinner but I didn't try it myself. I was asked to change rooms when here when another guest arrived that needed two beds (Hassan had given me the room with multiple beds) which I wasn't very happy about to be honest but it was a relatively small inconvenience I suppose. Breakfast is available for 8 euros and it's OK but TBH pretty basic. Everything worked out fine for my two night stay. If I were to offer any suggestions it might be to clean and redecorate the downstairs area which feels a little cluttered (There's a drumset in the corner if you're so-inclined!!). Overall, I'd score it 6.75/10. It was fine as long as you're not expecting somewhere shiny and new feeling."

"Ch Haut-Brisson must be the best kept secret in all of the Bordeaux area! It is situated just a short 7 minute drive to the Medievel town center, it is not far from Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol, and other nearby bordeaux villages. The rooms were recently renovated, are clean, very well kept, and the place happens to be a well known winery with Grand Cru designation. This coupled with the passionate and hospitable staff, made our stay unforgettable! Gabriella is a Sommelier and will answer any question about wine as well as the winery, she also provided very useful information about the Village and what to see. Iris is a genius in the kitchen, she whipped up a fantastic breakfast in no time, our only regret is that we did not stay at this wonderful place for a longer period. When we return to the St Emilion area, we will definitely plan to stay at Ch Haut-Brisson!"

"The host, Corinne, was super helpful and responsive. The house was lovely - so many great points: - bedrooms, were much larger and spacious than I thought from the photos, and comfy beds- great to have a utility room- air con fab- layout of kitchen, dining table and lounge worked great for us (4 adults, 3 kids)The pool was great and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. Even though the house is secluded, Saint Émilion is a few minutes drive away, and there are several hypermarchés within 15min drive. A lovely house in a truly beautiful location. We didn't want to leave!"
