Tucked away in historical Norwood Village, this charming cottage close to the sandy shores of Lake Michigan is romantic, quiet, clean,. Everything provided for a peaceful, beautiful stay. Centrally located and close to Charlevoix (8 minutes north) and Torch Lake (10 minutes south). 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan and beautiful beach. Charming historical farmhouse cottage. We have a 3 acre area to enjoy your walks or simply to sit out and enjoy your morning coffee/tea. We have the rate for 2 adults with up to 3 children under the age of 17 years old free. After two adults there is a $50.00 charge per person over the age of 18 years old. We can only accommodate 4 adults at any time. The maximum allowance is 5= no more than 4 adults at any point in time. There is parking for 2 cars only. \*Please note there is a Cuisinart double induction cooktop for cooking/heating in kitchen. There is also a Sur La Table unit for baking/air frying. Also Keurig coffee maker and microwave. It was the perfect location for our little family. Our dog had plenty of room to roam in the beautiful backyard. We loved the cute little kids bed, and it was the perfect place for our 11 month old to sleep since we didn’t have a crib. It was close to a quiet little beach area, a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. We loved the feeling of being away from the city but still close enough to run into town for brunch or dinner. We made the 1.5 hour drive to see Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes during our stay. Lisa and her dad, Jerry were the nicest hosts and we appreciated their hospitality. We were attending our daughter’s wedding at Castle Farms & we were on a hectic schedule, so we were in & out several times a day. However, we did find time to take wonderful walks down by the lake, even taking a cool dip in the lake waters in late September. Gerry was so kind. I will not go into the whole story, but he actually lent me his dress shoes when an unfortunate accident happened to my dress shoes right before walking my daughter down the aisle. It was a memorable week and this cottage fulfilled our needs very well. ##### Dean L. We brought along our small dog and had no problems at all on the property- plenty of open spaces to walk her. The online pictures of the cottage and grounds are spot on. We used the toaster and the Sur La Table oven to make bacon, hot dogs, salmon, etc. The electric cooktop was perfect for scrambled eggs. Very clean, everything we needed was there. Great communication with hosts. Gerry came by when we arrived to say hello and to make sure we were good. We do drive an EV car and he let us plug in to the outdoor outlet and we had no problems at all- no fuses blown as we kept the charge at the lowest level. You can walk down to the shore but we decided to drive there- literally took 1 minute. They had beach chairs we could use in the closet, and we did do a couple of loads of laundry with no problems at all. I would 100% stay here again. It was a lovely time!
