Short stay while traveling

Pros: Breakfast.... location staff was accommodating
We needed someplace just to stop while traveling. First room we were given had a bad smoke odor but the staff was really great to put us in another room. Smoke free hotel -it's a shame people have to make it bad for everyone else -not the hotels fault. Staff was friendly-especially the custodian who was cleaning around the place. Breakfast was good. Found a pencil in the middle of the pull out and had a broken light in the kitchen area but all in all a good stay and I would retirm

Very nice location in Charleston

A very nice location in Charleston. It would be helpful if more signs were put up to find the hotel as well as the Check-In location at the hotel. Nice pool!

The front desk night clerk was clueless and not very enthusiastic about her job. The hotel itself was nice :)

The people who work here are such great hosts and hostesses. Jolio was friendly and very helpful. The woman who worked at breakfast (charlotte?) was lovely. So attentive and thoughtful The food offering was among the best of any breakfast bar I e enjoyed. Lots of great extras. They also has a small table and chairs for children. The pool area was very nicely furnished and landscaped.

The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and had good variety. We would definitelt consider staying here again.

No power, no lights

We got to the hotel at 3:00 and found that there was a power outage. They said that they were expecting it to be fixed in an hour or so. It was after 9 p.m. when the electricity finally went back on. There was no air conditioning, no hot water,we couldn't charge our phones or tablets the halls were totally dark and we had no door keys until they were delivered at 11:00 p.m. I realize that the hotel can't do anything to prevent a power outage, but they didn't compensate us in any way. We were without transportation since we were taking the shuttle to the airport the next day, but nothing was within walking distance so we couldn't go anywhere else to get cool. This was in mid June. They even said we shouldn't use the pool since the water wasn't circulating. The suite was very clean, but much smaller than several other Residence Inns in other cities where we have stayed. The staff and breakfast were very nice, but all in all not a very pleasant stay. Marriott should step in the offer something to guests in instances such as these if they want to retain customers.

Easy Traveling

It was easy. Everything work. Much efficiency. Comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Ok for continental. Room was a little run down but clean I really like Hampton Inns
