Island's Sunset Gold Guest Room on Beautiful Lake Murray

This gorgeous property is located on a peninsula of 16 homes on a quiet section of beautiful Lake Murray, has large windows to view the lake, and offers swimming in the lake or pool at the main house, as well as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, pickleball, picnic area with swings, wood burning fire pit on a sandy beach, new gas fire pit in lounge area of rear deck, as well as rocking chairs by the pool to view gorgeous sunsets in the evening!

There's also great striper bass fishing on Lake Murray with a fish cleaning station available for your use! In addition there's two boat ramps on the premises to launch your own boat and a newly renovated dock to moor at! The property offers shared watercraft as well, including 2 Pedal Kayaks, a Canoe, a Paddle Board, Floats, Children's 4 seat paddle boat, 15' bouncer on the lake when available.

The sidewalks around the property are nice to stroll on with awesome views of the lake, fountains, and a pond. Walks in the evening are especially nice when the stars are shining brightly.

Island's Sunset Gold Guest Room has a queen bed sleeping 2, it's own private bath, 2 nightstands with lamps, a dresser, a desk by the window to view the lake, two side chairs, a mini fridge, a coffee maker, and an exterior entrance to the rear deck. This room does not have kitchen or laundry facilities, however, there are lots of restaurant choices nearby.

There is a propane grill available upon request on the rear deck overlooking the lake.

Best Hosts and House We've Ever Stayed With

This was BY FAR the best vacation rental we have ever experienced. Debra and Dennis were the absolute best hosts with sooo much infectious joy and happiness. The property was spectacular with water toys, lounge areas, a pool/hot tub, etc. Everything was wonderful start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We arrived at the Island Trail VRBO and were warmly greeted by our host Debra and Dennis as if they already knew us. They immediately gave us a tour of their available rooms and a guided tour around the beautiful property. The stay at their VRBO is by far the most impressive property that we have stayed at thus far. The grounds are immaculately, landscaped with lit walkways, fountains, trees, and beautiful, flowering shrubs. Our room was very tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The room had a mini refrigerator stocked with beverages, a basket of snacks, and Keurig with coffee, tea, hot, chocolate, etc.. Our hosts provided a very detailed notebook with all the information needed for our stay in our room, including suggestions for local eateries, places to visit, and a map of the lake. This VRBO is a must if you are looking for a peaceful and/or romantic getaway, or just want to have fun on the lake, we highly recommend you consider staying here. If we were to rate it from 1 - 10, this place would be an 11+!! This has been the best VRBO experience and, hands-down the most awesome host we have ever had! We plan on booking again in the future.

Great place on the lake with lots to do.

Hosts are incredibly nice & communicate well. Room and property are both well-kept. Plenty of options as far as activities. No dogs at the lake was a minor bummer for us, but really couldn’t ask much more of the location, site, or hosts.

Hidden Gem on the lake

The place is wonderful, and the hosts are even better. They made us feel so welcome and they make is easy do enjoy yourself. They have so many amenities to enjoy the lake. We will be back to enjoy their hospitality again!

These hosts were phenomenal! We had a great time fishing and enjoying the property. There was tons to do if you wanted (pool, games, paddle boats, beach area). They were so helpful and thoughtful. We will definitely return!

Debra is a wonderful host who really cares about her guests being comfortable and having a good time. I was officiating the funeral of a dear friend and she was kind and helpful during a challenging time. Has everything you need to enjoy the lake and beach, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, giant connect 4, giant chess, horse shoes and rooms are comfortable and spotless. Great pool and hot tub.

Amazing

This was one of the most pleasant places I have ever vacationed, I could not have asked for a more peaceful, relaxing, beautiful setting. The hostess/host were absolutely amazing, two of the kindest people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. The lake side veiw is perfect, the price is very reasonable, and the rooms are very cozy and private. I truly look forward to my next visit. I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation spot, it was absolutely wonderful.

A time to relax...

We had a wonderful stay at the Island Sunset Guest Room on beautiful Lake Murray. Our host Debra and Dennis provided exceptional service and made our experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was perfect and had all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. We were particularly impressed by the pool and sauna facilities, which added an extra level of relaxation to our trip. Though our stay was brief, it was truly unforgettable. Stunning property

Pictures don’t do justice…. Most accommodating host the I have ever experienced!!! Relax and recharge at this amazing piece of heaven!!!….. kayak’s canoes trampoline on water and available pontoon boat for evening rental to see the purple bird migration to the bomb island is simply a must !!!!! ..clean room and the pool is perfectly maintained…..
