"The staff at this hotel made my stay a delight. They were so friendly and helpful. The whole staff was excellent, but Linda was invaluable with her fluent English and willingness to help with matters beyond the hotel reservation. I appreciate them all so much. The hotel is situated on a bustling and vibrant pedestrian street lined with hundreds of restaurants and shops, yet it remains peaceful and serene inside. The subway is conveniently located, making it easy to access any part of the city. I am grateful to have stayed here, and it is now one of my favorite properties in the world. "

"Very conveniently located, breakfast spread was very good. Friendly reception staff, and in particular, outstanding concierge team. They provided useful information on tours when I queried about them via email before my stay, and haloed to reserve a table at Make in China, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, in advance. When my teenager girl has problems with the delivery of stuff she purchased on Taobao, concierge staff was very helpful in helping to resolve the matter. But Make in China restaurant is overrated. "

"Since my phone wasn’t compatible with WeChat or Alipay, I faced some challenges during my stay in China. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful. Ella went out of her way to assist me—she walked with me to the food pickup spot, used her own phone, and helped retrieve a delivery ordered by my daughter, who was staying at Tsinghua University. On another occasion, when my daughter’s WeChat account ran out of funds, Harry Sun helped us withdraw cash from the hotel ATM and reload the account. He also arranged our trip to the Great Wall of China, booking a car and giving us great tips—like leaving early to avoid traffic and returning by early afternoon. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and welcoming."

One night stay - very happy

"Check-in went very well. Staff was super helpful. I asked many small questions about things like currency exchange, food, delivery, etc.. and they were very very helpful. Breakfast had a good mix of food. I had forgotten about seeing showers as a closed-in space within a single room, but this was the only oddity that I found. My driver would not go down the narrow road to the hotel, but it was a short and easy walk down the narrow Road to number 46. Food options in the courtyard outside were also excellent. Had a beer and aFood options in the courtyard outside we’re also excellent. Had a beer and a burger and was very happy."
