The setting is beautiful and unique. The accomodations were very nice. Our room in particular was quaint and reflective of the natural surroundings. We did have an issue with our shower but the staff were very helpful and apologetic. We ate at the onsite restaurant. The food was (maybe not Michelin Star worthy but) very good and the service was excellent. All in I would recommend this hotel as a comfortable and interesting stop in their travels.

It was a one night stop over while travelling from south to north. We were upgraded to a lovely room. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Weather very disappointing, obviously no fault of the hotel.

This is a fabulous property with notable food (one rosette Michelin star and soigne cuisine) and an enchanting setting on a stream with sn active mill. The gardens, patios and interiors, including the room are charming and comfortable. Gracious and helpful staff...truly a magical spot.

Magnifique hôtel proche du village de Brantôme et de la grotte de Villars. L’hôtel est superbe, tout comme le parc, la piscine. La restauration est étoilée et les petits-déjeuners excellents. Le personnel et l’ambiance sont la représentation même du luxe à la française. Tout y est authentique et discret, apaisant et préservé ! Séjour d'une nuit très agréable, le site est magnifique dans un environnement calme et reposant. Personnel de l'accueil charmant et aux petits soins. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu tester le restaurant, notre venue correspondant à la journée de repos du personnel.

Lovely hotel great service

Lovely hotel with great personal service. After our 2 night hotelstay at Moulin du Roc we stayed at a 5 star hotel in Biarritz, but we would definitely have rated Moulin du Roc 5 star instead as it was even better! The surroundings were alright and there is a small town close to Moulin du Roc but we mostly enjoyed just being at the hotel! Nice poolarea too just as in the pictures.

En fantastisk oas vid floden Dronne, 6 km från Brentôm. Mölla byggd 1660 och i bruk fram till 1955. Köpt på 1960- talet och sen dess drivet som hotell och restaurang av samma familj. 15 rum och restaurangen har 1 stjärna i Guide Michelin. Det går utmärkt att äta där i shorts o sandaler! Otroligt vänlig, hjälpsam o kunnig personal. Pool finns och lämpligt även för barn. Djur tillåtna. Vi kommer absolut åka tillbaka till denna fantastiska pärla!

Serenity and elegance throughout this hotel. Our room was small but comfortable and exquisitely appointed. The staff are attentive and friendly. The restaurant serves a delicious continental breakfast and dinner/lunch is a memorable experience. Superb food and knowledgable staff.
