60th Birthday Slumber Party

This property was the perfect compliment to my 60th birthday. EVERYONE was comfortable and felt welcomed the moment they walked in the home. Vicki the host was the absolute BEST! She was gracious and very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely book here again. The rooms were spacious and the grounds BEAUtIFUL!

Fantastic place and stay

This place was perfect for our family of 17. Space was exceptional and the house, yard and location were stellar. We were able to accommodate friends and family from the wedding location for a great gathering. The host was fantastic to work with and so flexible ensure we had a successful weekend. The house is amazing! So pretty, big, organized, and well-decorated. The kitchen and the outside area were my favorite part. We really enjoyed staying there and Vicky was a great host helping us all the time with everything that we needed

It was very nice.A few things could have been better - a smoke detector chirped all night on Saturday, there were ants in the kitchen, and there was no hot tub. The host was great with her communications. Everyone loved the house!

Future son in laws family stayed here.

We book this place for my future son in laws family to stay here for my daughters wedding. Everything went off great and all the family said it was a great stay and plenty of room for 20 people.

Perfect!, Just Perfec!!!

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday at this amazing historical inn. The house was so comfortable, clean and well appointed. The grounds were well landscaped with plenty of setting areas for large groups. Very relaxing. You will not be disappointed. We plan on returning to do all the things we didn't have time for in one weekend. Vicki, thank you for everything.

We loved our stay at this location! The house is amazing. The number of bathrooms is exceptional and added to the comfort of our numerous guests. Beautifully decorated house, lush backyard, and exceptional customer service from the owners. Sooooo much better than all of us staying at the same hotel.

Our wedding party stayed at the Wild Wisteria the night before our wedding. Brad was easy to communicate with and available anytime we needed him. The property is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are quirky and full of character, and the morning coffee bar was great.

Perfect for before & after wedding gathering spot for family & friends

Loved the spacious home, the beautiful outdoor areas, and the large kitchen. The huge fridge & freezer were so helpful in keeping us organized, plus having the extra fridge near the beloved coffee station was a plus. Lots of seating areas both indoors & out, this home was a perfect location for family & friends to stop in & hang between different wedding functions over the long weekend. (Wedding itself was at Tyler Arboretum). Coffee station was well-used. We also appreciated the new outdoor grill, it was so useful. Vicki was helpful at every turn, we can't thank her enough for her support. Highly recommend!!

Very good location for a vacation in Brandywine Valley

Our extended family enjoyed our stay in this well-located, historic home that was once a bed and breakfast. Lots of room indoors and out for a larger family gathering. Nice big kitchen with lots of refrigerators. Vicki the owner was very responsive to our needs. Apparently a strong t-storm blew through and knocked out power in the neighborhood for a few hours, but we didn't notice it. (Imagining generators kicked in.) Also, while the property is basically off of a busy Route 1, we were surprised by how relatively quiet it was inside. Big thumbs up there. All the big attractions we wanted to see were like within 10-15 minutes away. Super easy.

Great Venue for Family Gathering

The venue was a little tricky to find and needed more visible address markers. However, once we arrived we were welcomed with a nice, large kitchen which was great for family meal preparation. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes, stemware, utensils, and cookware. The upstairs room layout is a little tricky, but once you figure it out, it’s fine. There was adequate space for our party of 17. Would be great if there were a large screen TV in the family/living room, perhaps in front of the huge fireplace, where family could watch holiday sports together. The host was outstanding. We communicated several times before our arrival and she was extremely helpful.

Fantastic Weekend

I would highly recommend staying here. We booked here after another place canceled our stay at the last minute. Vicki was great to work with. She was helpful with check-in and when one of the doors got locked from the inside she sent someone over right away and fixed it. We had our daughter’s wedding in the backyard which was a beautiful place to have it. We had family fly in from around the country and the property was only 30 or so minutes from the airport. There is a fire pit where we did s’mores in the evening. There were all the kitchen utensils and equipment needed for our event including plenty of refrigeration space and a large oven and range. The bedrooms were clean and each one had its own character. I would definitely recommend having your event or family get together here. My family and friends are still talking about how much fun they had!

Perfect get away for a wedding after party

My new husband and I asked our closest friends to join us at this house for the day and night after our wedding. Months before our stay, Vicki, the property manager agreed to give us a tour of the property and gave us loads of details about the building's history. During our stay, we enjoyed the house for it's excellent, unique indoor and outdoor decor and amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware/tableware you could want and all the appliances work. Each room in the house is adorable, cozy, and themed. The upstairs bedrooms are arranged in a little bit of a maze but this only adds to the fun, whimsical vibes of the house. The backyard is perfect for lounging, yard games, and bonfire relaxation. My husband and I are already considering occasions when we might be able to come back for another stay with more friends and family. 5 stars all around, we wish we could've stayed longer!

Wonderful home!

This historical home was absolutely wonderful. From the beginning, Vicki was attentive and made our stay perfect. The house has such history and the set up to accommodate a group is super.. Our group of 18 people moved freely throughout the house. We had multiple rooms to sit in for eating and visiting, as well as the game room with the pool table and air hockey. The backyard is exquisite with the patio, fire pit, etc. We even saw multiple deer and a fox while we were there. We wish this VRBO continued success. Don’t hesitate to grab it! It’s a gem!

Charming and Adorable Historical Home

Wonderful home and grounds/gardens. Plenty of space for two families. More bedrooms available than advertised. Super convenient to everything in Chadds Ford area. Vicki (host) was wonderful to work with. A perfect place for our 60th birthday celebration!

Perfect Family Space

We came for a weekend to celebrate the awesome and too-brief life of my sister, the eldest of four. Our partners, children, and their partners gathered here and cooked together, ate together, played lawn games and pool games, and cried together. We had space to be on top of one another and space to be alone. Absolutely perfect spot—thank you!

Awesome Family Reunion

We had a family reunion from October 7 - October 10. Our family traveled from New York, Connecticut, Texas and North Carolina to visit their grandfather who lives in a local retirement community. The house provided more than enough room for everyone to have meals together, play outside and social with everyone. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The owner was readily available and answered all our questions very quickly. Great Place to stay, loved it.
