Ringrazio Gail e i suoi graditi ospiti per la sua recensione. Non riesco però a capire dove ha letto che il riscaldamento e le spese di elettricità sono comprese nel prezzo. Prima della prenotazione bisogna accettare le regole della casa e leggere il contratto di affitto che viene spedito contestualmente alla prenotazione da VRBO. Probabilmente Gail non ha avuto la possibilità di leggerlo. Sul contratto di affitto infatti è scritto chiaramente che l'elettricità e il riscaldamento sono a consumo. Questo tipo di scelta è stata fatta per andare incontro alle centinaia di richieste dei nostri ospiti che hanno chiesto trasparenza ed adeguatezza dei prezzi rispetto al consumo ed all'utilizzo degli elettrodomestici, mini spa, luci parco etc. Ci sono infatti molti ospiti che utilizzano la struttura come punto di appoggio per esplorare il territorio intorno alla villa e che quindi utilizzano molto meno l'elettricità, il condizionamento aria o la jacuzzi piscina etc, rispetto invece a chi vuole vivere la villa in pieno relax utilizzando di più questi servizi a consumo. Abbiamo sempre cercato di mantenere dei prezzi equilibrati e corretti. Pagare il giusto e non pagare di più di quello che si consuma. Per quanto riguarda internet abbiamo avuto in zona nei giorni purtroppo del soggiorno di Gail, un problema generale sulle linee telefoniche dell'intera zona di Cetona. Il problema quindi, come anche spiegato allo stesso cliente, non è dipeso da nostra incuria o negligenza. Ci dispiace per l'accaduto ma non siamo responsabili di questo disservizio. Per quanto riguarda il pagamento extra in cash, noi diamo libertà di scelta al cliente se pagare in cash o con carta di credito mediante POS. Ma come ho già scritto, la linea telefonica quei giorni ha avuto problemi in tutta la zona e quindi anche il POS, che funziona tramite linea telefonica, non era attivo. Ci scusiamo anche per questo disservizio non dovuto a nostra responsabilità.

We have had guests for more than ten years and this is unfortunately the first time that they have written us such an ugly and unfair review about the costs, because the additional costs are clearly written on the rental contract that the guest is obliged to read at the time of booking. It probably wasn't done by you and this may have destabilized you. I understand that. But on our part there was no wrong act. We have performed, like hundreds of times with hundreds of guests, the exact same procedure. As for the tip not given to my gardener, perhaps he, not speaking English well, expressed himself poorly or was not understood. On the website and in the house rules it is also clearly written here, that checkout is at 10.30. This is because our structure is not a hotel where there is always a doorman inside, giving you the possibility to arrive and leave at almost any time. Ours, as you well know, is a private holiday home. When the guest wants to leave earlier, we have no problem, but we have to organize ourselves differently since many things are complicated to do at 6 in the morning. This service was done as a favor. In fact, I had to ask my gardener a favor to come checkout out of hours and outside our rules which you also knew at the time of booking, but which you have completely ignored. My gardener did not ask for a fee, but simply a tip for the favor he had given you by having to get up at 5am to allow you to leave after checkout time. Tipping is customary. It's not mandatory. But for some people who do special jobs, it's a show of civility and thanks for doing a job outside of his working hours. I'm sorry you took it this way. We always try to do our best for our customers. Moreover, in the cost that you mention and that you declare to be two thirds I want to correct for correctness that in the price there is also the wine you drank and that is in the bill. We find it fairer and more correct to make everyone pay for their style of stay, without charging extra costs to those who consume less and to make those who consume more pay less (in case we did an all-inclusive cost). I thank the family Krosky for the advice that is always useful. I want to clarify that the house is equipped with everything necessary to deal with the first days (Saturday and Sunday) as the shops could be closed. So we stock toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom) and paper scottex for the kitchen (1 roll) spices, sugar, salt, soap (maybe my guest did not know that on the sink there is a soap dispenser that is shampoo and bath foam in the same product) and also the necessary to light fire and barbecue .. So everything you need to face a couple of days. Then we leave the guest the freedom to buy the necessary for the rest of the holiday (for example, a soap costs 1.50 and a pack of toilet paper with 10 rolls costs about 3.50 euros ...) However, I always thank my guests for their suggestions!

When guests live and care the home like theirs (and when they really love their home) it's great to have them as guests. Elizabeth and her fantastic and friendly family followed the rules of the house and it was a pleasure to have them here! I hope to see them soon, but at a more normal weather!
