About this property

San Martino, Certaldo, Florence and Chianti

  • San Martino is a beautiful and very comfortable holiday home nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, southwest of Florence. Surrounded by stunning landscapes and offering generous indoor and outdoor space, it is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

Just a few kilometres away is the charming hilltop town of Certaldo, known for its historic buildings, small shops, and inviting restaurants. San Gimignano is only 30 minutes away. Its historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the town  is also  well known for  Vernaccia white wine and the award-winning Gelateria Dondoli. Florence, Siena, Volterra, and Pisa are also ideal for day trips.

The house is set in a quiet, rural location. Built from natural stone, it features a covered loggia along the front with a dining table and a large, comfortable sofa. The beautifully kept garden is filled with flowering plants and ancient olive trees, offering more seating areas and double hammock loungers by the pool , which are truly perfect for unwinding!  Although another house is nearby, it is completely screened by tall trees, ensuring total privacy.

San Martino is a two-storey home that has been lovingly restored. Traditional Tuscan elements such as terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and fireplaces have been preserved. The décor is a homely blend of contemporary and antique pieces, creating an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The open-plan ground floor adds to the sense of spaciousness.

Holidays in Tuscany

Beautiful property in the heart of nature. Superb garden with beautiful views Large and beautiful swimming pool. Not very close to amenities about 15min. And it was hot in the bedrooms at night. But it's still a beautiful property and the owners are very friendly and responsive.
