"I wanted a more modern hotel considering the constraints and lack of air conditioning in most hotels in Paris. Hotel Joke was an answer to those concerns. The superior room had a king size bed with plenty of space. Air conditioning worked wonderfully for both cooling during the day and heating at night. The showers were hot and powerful. The hot breakfasts every morning were a huge plus for us. Eggs, sausage , pancakes , croissants , cheese, the works. The staff was absolutely wonderful , anything extra we needed , they tended to. If you’re looking for a more American style hotel in a great location in Montmartre for a more affordable price, this is it."

"An excellent 6-night stay! We enjoyed our one bedroom (with a pull-out sofa-bed in the living room area) and were very lucky to have a private balcony overlooking the quiet residential street. (Our room was on one of the upper floors.) The room was very peaceful and quiet-- even with both balcony doors wide open, and the kitchenette was an excellent luxury especially in the morning ! I could make my own coffee, eat a fresh baguette and croissant purchased that very morning from a local bakery (only a few minutes away), while seated on the balcony watching the sunrise warm up the Paris sky. The hotel entrance is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, and it felt very safe and was reasonably lit up at nighttime. The hotel is also very close to public transportation (pro-tip: use the Place du Clichy metro stop because it is less crowded, more convenient for subway line transfers, and less rowdy compared to the Pigalle metro stop). The hotel entrance is via RFID card, and has a video camera system: it felt very safe and secure ! The elevator also requires the RFID room card to access your floor. All of the front staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a fairly large team of receptionists/concierges and I observed that they were all uniformly and consistently welcoming and accommodating. Congratulations on creating a very positive work-place culture ! Thank you for being a Citadines Hotel !!"
