Riverfront House on Guadalupe-3BR W/Opt 4BR -Texas Hill Country-Day's Away House

Welcome to the Day's Away River House, located on the beautiful Guadalupe River in Center Point, Texas. Center Point is situated halfway between Comfort and Kerrville and halfway between Bandera and Fredericksburg, only 50 minutes from San Antonio and approximately 30 minutes from Hunt, Texas. The water is deep and the river is wide at our breathtaking half acre retreat. You can barbecue, swim, tube, canoe, fish or just relax by the water. There is a wonderful upper deck & lower deckthat runs all the way across the back of the house that is covered. The perfect place to view the river and watch your kids bounce on the trampoline, swim, or jump off the dock into the river. We also have a rope swing and a slide into the river. Don't forget to bring the marshmallows to roast over the built-in fire pit on our large 2 level flagstone patios down by the water. Gas and charcoal bar-b-que pits too.

Our precious house is fully equipped to provide a marvelous vacation you'll never forget! ***The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (sleeps 8). The master bedroom has a king size bed. The guest room has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has a double bed plus a set of bunk beds. There is one pack-n-play for your little one.

We also have an ***optional*** detached cabin with bath available (sleeps 4 more). Our detached cabin is located right next to the main house and features a queen bed plus a queen mattress in the loft. Kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave and small refrigerator. Smart TV, DVD, & VCR. ***We only rent the cabin as an add-on to the main house, please contact us for more details.

We are walking distance to the dam and a lighted public park.

We stayed at Day's Away so we could attend a weekend event at a nearby camp. It was the perfect place for us, giving us a beautiful view of the river from the beautiful house and porch. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the bedrooms matched our needs perfectly.

Wonderful Stay!

We had the best stay once again! This is our 2nd time to stay here. We come to the Texas Elite Gilt Show here to show our FFA projects and this is the best convenient place for us to stay! Better than any hotel you could stay at in this area! The outside area is our kids favorite thing about this beautiful place!

Great getaway

The house and waterfront are better than expected and so relaxing. Our favorite and most used feature was the floating swimming platform that could be pulled out further in the river. It was great!!

Great outdoor space

We really enjoyed our stay. With the extra cabin, it was perfect for our group which included 3 families with teenagers, in town for a livestock show. The bedrooms are small, and the bathroom in the extra cabin is not the best, but it's as shown in the photos. However, the outdoor space was awesome, with lots of seating, fire pit, and canoe/kayaks. I do wish that trash bags were provided, but otherwise it had everything we needed.

Fun at Days Away

This is just like the pictures! The river is like a lake here. Very private. The house was cozy. We had our own ducks, canoe, kayaks. The floating dock was great.

Weekend Getaway

We have a true blast! The house is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the property is well maintain. The only thing that was different is in the description it said the property had a trampoline and it didn’t but we had plenty to do without it.

Relaxing stay

Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. The only thing I would say is that if there are more people than there are beds there is no room in bedrooms for a blowup and barely room for one in the living area but we managed. Loved the kayaks and Canoe and the little ones loved playing on the floating dock!! The owner was very accessible and worked well with us!! Overall...5 stars!

A Lovely Time

We stayed in mid-March, so a little chilly for water play but we so enjoyed sitting by the firepit right on the water, under the trees. We relaxed and caught up and chatted with the ducks and geese who were very welcoming. The house is beautiful and the host is lovely. Thank you for a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Trip

This is a beautiful property on the Guadalupe River. Close to Boerne, Comfort, Kerrville and Bandera. We spent our first day at Gruene Market days - a bit of a drive to the house - but Gruene is worth the visit. The Singing Water Vineyards are a must. Every evening we enjoyed sitting on the porch/balcony enjoying the view.

Summer Fun

We had an amazing time at Day’s Away House! The rope swing, slide and the floating dock were the highlight for the kids!! The canoe and kayaks were a lot of fun as well! Fantastic property and host!!!

Day's Away is the perfect getaway from the hustle of everyday life. The pictures represented the house perfectly and Becky was all you could ask for in a host. She communicated everything upfront and ahead of time and made the whole process simple. The kids loved the rope swing and kayaks and fishing off the dock. Great place to spend with family and getaway from screen time. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be booking again next year. A+++++ all the way

Dream Vacation

Our stay at Day’s Away was wonderful. To start with, Becky could not have been a more responsive, helpful or friendly host. The house is perfectly clean. The beds are all comfortable and so importantly in Texas - the air conditioning works great! The outdoor area is perfect. We loved using the canoe and kayaks to enjoy the beautiful river even more. The large flagstone patio with the fire pit was such a great place to gather in the evenings with a large well maintained yard for kids to play in - and super friendly ducks too! Family Getaway

My family has a yearly tradition where we get together to celebrate my dad's birthday. This year he turned 82! We definitely enjoyed our stay. Everyone has a wonderful time. House is just like pictures. We cook a lot and they had almost everything. Just need to bring your spices. If you have little ones bring life jackets. Teen boys enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. Got them away from the screens.

Spring relief

We enjoyed our visit so much! I was so relieved the river was flowing enough to enjoy the canoe and kayaks. Due to the location of the property on the river, it looks like that is not a problem even during drought conditions. Everyone got to take turns and enjoy the chilly, but beautiful water. We arrived on the winds of the March 14th storm, and although it was very breezy, we were still able to enjoy our entire weekend. The house accommodated us well and the kitchen was perfect for preparing large breakfasts and cookouts. There is a public river entry across the river. We enjoyed people watching and the local ducks and goose were eager to greet everyone. Very relaxing and felt very safe. Travel to other cities and attractions was easy. We have already recommended this property to another family friend.
