"Planned a girls weekend here. We wanted a place we could relax, hang out, hot tub, cook. This place had a kitchen but was not well equipped. Drawers missing handles, not fully stocked with utensils for cooking.Found mouse droppings on top of microwave and underneath microwave as soon as I walked in the kitchen. No dish towels. Had to use bath towels to dry dishes. No hot water and no water pressure..it trickled out of the faucet. There was a leak in the laundry room..a pipe was leaking hot water into a pan and overflowing with towels on the floor. When I brought this to the owners attention he said he was aware of it and the wrong part had came earlier in the week. So he didn’t fix it. Maybe it was the reason for no water pressure or hot water? Hot tub after first time of using it the water temp went down when we were in it and then the jets wouldn’t quit running the whole time. I could hear it running all night in the bedroom. Some people slept in the back bedroom…there is a gap in the window from the wall cold air coming in. There were mouse dropping all over in the sleeper sofa. I brought the mice issue to the owners attention…they told me they have never had a mouse problem and have been very lucky. I sent them pictures.The place is old…and I’m fine with old, but if you are renting a place for guest to stay your property should be immaculate. I don’t believe this place should be listed on VRBO.The owner was responsive. Gave partial refund. "

"Pros:Secluded area. Host lives next door. Very responsive to any questions or needs.Large house that can accommodate a few families. It was just my husband and I, so we didn't use the upstairs."

"The house was beautiful and had a gorgeous view of the lake. There was a problem with the water pressure so when someone was taking a shower or a bath, there was not any water at any of the other sinks. This was quite a challenge as there were nine people staying in the house. We also had a challenge when we arrived at the house and found a couple inches of snow on the sidewalk and 8 -10 inches of snow on the driveway and additional snow at the end of the driveway from the snow plow clearing the road. I contacted the owner and he said the guy who was to clear the driveway had a problem with his equipment and didn’t get it cleared, but the owner left a shovel for me. At 65 years old, I was not happy to have to shovel the driveway. I wanted to have all of the food and supplies unloaded before the other guest arrived, but I didn’t get it done. The younger men arrived and finished shoveling. The owner did give me a 50 refund for the inconvenience."
