"Domaine de Solong": Where Nature Meets Authenticity

Discover this old seventeenth-century building located in Caumont, with half-timbering and turret at its ends giving it a rare cachet. Ideal for a stay with family or friends, it is a real interlude of relaxation and conviviality. In the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees, near SAINT-GIRONS it offers guests lovers of nature and gastronomy an unforgettable experience!

🏠The house, ideal for 2 couples with 2 children each or simply with friends, or blended family..., reveals its surprises as the levels go by.

On the ground floor,:
- a vestibule nestled in a turret welcomes you, followed by a laundry room with washing machine and freezer (very large capacity),
-'a pleasant living room because it is very cool in summer where young and old can meet around board games, and a spacious bedroom (with a double bed) bathed in light.

On the ground floor:
- in the turret, a discreet mini-bar
- a large convivial living/dining room that can accommodate up to 8 people
- the kitchen, separate and functional,
- a double bedroom
- a large bathroom with both shower and bathtub complete this floor, with separate toilet.

On the second level:
- a double bedroom with its furnished balcony
- on the upper half landing a bedroom with two single beds; this level is ideal for a couple with two children or 4 older children who would have this space on the top floor just for them.

🌳☀️Outside, the huge flat garden becomes a playground and sharing: outdoor meals around the barbecue, moments of relaxation in the shade of the fir tree and freedom for children and their pet to imagine a thousand adventures. Badminton rackets and wooden bowling games are available.

⚠️In order to keep the garden in the best conditions, a gardener will occasionally intervene to mow the lawn (about 1 hour) in July/August.
This intervention is done discreetly and without impact on your stay. You will be informed in advance.


For your comfort, bed linen and towels will be provided. You will have at your disposal all the consumables (coffee pods Senseo machine, condiments and basic necessities) to start your stay.


i️ Located in the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Nature Park, the village of Caumont is only a 10-minute drive from the town of Saint-Girons, crossed by the river "Le Salat", animated in summer by its local market on Saturday mornings and summer festivities such as the famous parade "Autrefois Le Couserans".
For shopping enthusiasts, many shops await you.

Discover also 10 minutes on the heights of the village of SAINT-LIZIER, its beautiful Gallo-Roman city, its cloister and its bishops' palace....


In 30 minutes, you will find the Mas d'Azil Cave, one of the major tourist sites in Ariège, distinguished in particular by its huge natural porch crossed by the Arize river and by the road.

Close to the mountain and the GUZET snow resort (30- 50 min), enjoy all the outdoor activities in summer and winter (mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, Prat equestrian centre, paragliding, mini-golf, spa treatment, tree climbing, etc.)
For the more gambling, the Casino de Salies du Salat (15 minutes away) awaits you to liven up your evenings.

Le petit +++ : A small supermarket a few metres walk from the house will make you discover the local wonders and homemade!
