This hotel was a real find. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and roomy. The hotel garden, tho not big had plenty of tables and chairs. The restaurant staff were particularly helpful when explaining the menu and the food when it arrived was excellent. The hotel is a little out of the way, but if you take the time to walk into the centre, it is well worth the effort with lots of shops, bars and cafes.

We stayed at the Kyriad, Perpignan Sud on our way through France to Spain. The reception was friendly and helpful. Reception closs at 11pm and the gates are locked though I gather access is facilitated by your room key. The back pedestrian gate remained open all night. There is no restaurant but a 10% discount is available at the nearby Hippopotamus restaurant and the Buffalo restaurant. Breakfast is available for 10 euro each, we didn't take this ourselves. We really enjoyed our stay the Hotel le Catalan. It is a beautiful hotel up on a hill with magnificent views of the lovely town and sea. The front desk employee Valerie was delightful and very helpful. She was very patient with my high school level French so I got to practice it. The rooms with sea views are spectacular. The restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. It's also a 15 minute walk down some small streets and stairs to the beautiful town center. All in all a delightful stay.
