Good hotel
Good hotel. Excellent staff. Bikes secured overnight for free. Nice breakfast. Only downside was the noise of chairs being scraped along the floor in the dining room which we could hear in our room at all hours.

The hotel is convenient for travelling south. Rooms clean light and warm. Restaurant good and not expensive. Staff helpful and charming. What’s not to like?

Good hotel lost in the middle of nowhere
Good resort lost in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are nice but you can hear the neighbors as if they were in your room! You can reach Burgos by car in about 15 minutes.

Overnight stop.
Overnight stop on way to Bilbao. Good for us-only two and a half hours to Bilbao. Liked the ambience. Restaurant was good food. No complaints. Staff really friendly.

Whilst out of the way the staff and the hotel were excellent. About nine kilometres from Burgos, straight run. Very quiet, at least our room was and the hotel is very well decorated, like a New York first class hotel

Oh what a night!
Super friendly staff who were so helpful and kind. Rooms were comfortable, reception was grand and inviting, and during our stay my daughter had an allergic reaction unconnected to the hotel in ANY way, and they assisted me with location of hospital and were extremely sympathetic and knowledgeable. The owners of this hotel should be incredibly proud of their staff and employees, as I personally believe they are professional, polite and positively amazing at their jobs, always smiling, which I know from experience it not always easy with the “public”!!! The hotel itself could be seen as a little dated but I’m sure at one time no it’s life was amazing, perhaps a revamp and relaunch if financially possible would be good.

we had a shower stool in our room was a nice touch as my wife is a litlle infirm. we brought our dog she was made totally welcome. will use again if in area. one of the best hotels we´ve been in spain.

Convenient Stop Over
We have stayed here before so we knew what to expect. However the quality of the food served for dinner has greatly improved from last year. The breakfast however is very disappointing.

Quiet hotel close to city.
We stay at this hotel every year . The staff is very friendly and accommodating . They are one of the few hotels that accept pets. We do not like to stay in center city hotels because of the noise, and this one is just perfect about 12 km out. We enjoy our stay year after year.

Shabby and Tired
In its day this must have been a stunning hotel but now it is dated and the religious statues are very off putting. We stayed for two nights and because it is isolated we had dinner in the hotel on both nights. We had the set menu {on the first night we were not even offered any alternative} on both nights and my husband chose the fish dish which came on its own .... just fish with sauce and nothing else - very strange! There was a choice of starter and mains but the dessert was a case of take what you get which on the second night was yoghurt which I hate! Quality of food is very poor. I can honestly say that the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and two days later my back is still sore. All in all a very disappointing stopover.

Very good.

Fine overnight stop
Located a few miles outside Burgos so no local restaurants nearby.Fortunately the food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly,welcoming and able to speak better English than our poor Spanish.The decor reflects the hotel's name and there are plenty of references to the Pilgrimage Route in the foyer and elsewhere.A real effort has been made to give the public areas a bit of originality so it only looks like a 1960s building from the outside.Plenty of free parking is a bonus.

Not a good experience
The hotel must be 100 years old, and 25-30K from downtown area. Cab to that area costs 20 Euros, but the bus service about 1.45 Euros. But, buses run so infrequently had to go to the expense of a cab a couple of times. The room was tiny and had only a single hard backed chair with no real table. The shower head was inconsistent, so the water would alternately run hot and cold. Ended up having to take a bath in several inches of water. It was an awful experience.
