"The Positives - This hotel is very near several restaurants, so you don't have to drive anywhere to pick up lunch or dinner. You don't even have to cross a street. There's a Mexican restaurant, a pizza restaurant, a place for wings. I particularly liked the Chinese restaurant. The room was clean when I entered. Bed is high off the ground, which I like. Microwave worked well. Refrigerator was a tad loud, but I've experienced louder. The Negatives - Walls are thin. You can hear conversations easily from the room next door, which means that they can hear yours as well. During the nights I stayed there, my neighbor played music the entire night. At 2:00 AM I called the front desk about it, and they handled the problem right away. So kudos to the staff. But the fact remains that the walls are thinner than they should be. The bathroom was clean, but the shower dispensers were problematic. The body wash dispenser was practically falling off the wall. The conditioner dispenser was either empty or not working. When I asked the front desk to add more conditioner, the result was that I was given two more bars of soap. Clearly, there was a communication breakdown somewhere. The breakfast is continental but minimal. I wasn't expecting fresh eggs and bacon, but it was still lacking. No artificail sweeteners made available. When I picked up an orange from the bowl, it was completely rotted on one side. Not horrible, but I would have trouble reccommending."

"We had a great stay at Singing Pines over Memorial Day weekend. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the cabin was beautifully decorated. Location was convenient to restaurants and ATV trails. We will definitely be back. Thank you Kelly for the being a wonderful host."

"I rarely leave bad reviews, but my stay at Candlewood Suites Watertown was honestly very disappointing. Carla at the front desk was kind and accommodating, and she was probably the only positive part of the experience. The room smelled terrible, like a closed unused room full of dust and mold. There were spider webs everywhere, flies inside the room, and the living room area smelled very bad, like it had not been cleaned or used properly for a long time. The curtains were broken, the windows were covered with dead flies and thick dust, and even the exhaust fan was packed with dust and dirt. It was obvious the room was not being maintained properly. The suite setup was also inconvenient because the AC and heater were only in the living room and barely reached the bedroom. I had to leave the bedroom door open the whole time just to get airflow, which made it difficult to sleep because the room kept getting too cold or too warm. I called the front desk to ask if they had a portable heater or fan available, but they told me they had none. Their only solution was to downgrade me into a smaller room while still charging me the same price. I was also surprised that housekeeping is only done once a week. I ended up getting sick with severe allergies and fever symptoms. I was visiting my military partner after 6 months apart, and this experience ruined our stay. I should have taken more evidence, but the staff already knows these issues exist."

"This was absolutely one of our favorite VRBO rentals ever.... The house is so warm and inviting, tastefully decorated, and all I can say about the property is WOW.... The history and the warmth of the home made this a memory we will cherish. My wife said it was the BEST Mother's day ever. The warm glow of the fireplace at night was perfect. Walking along the river, enjoying the serenity of the place was so relaxing and peaceful. Talk about a value for your money. Thank you so much for everything, our host were extremely accommodating since we were up there working and you made our week. "
