Ideally located for Hadrian's Wall walkers and next to Milecastle Inn, we enjoyed one night's stay here. Very comfortable and we would probably choose to stay here for several nights if walking the national trail again.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, great location, nice, modern finishes, clean and well kept and the kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay, quiet and it had everything we wanted, home from home and so many local walks, and dog friendly too.

Really beautiful cottage for a family or a small group. You have the space to yourselves but the landlo

Comfortable and well equipped cottage

Absolutly gorgous hut, really quaint and quirky. Perfect bit of outdoor space with decking and grass for our dog. Lovely size hot tub and comfy bed. Stunning views and perfect location for nice long walks. Local pub does beautiful food on a evening. Only issue is that there could be a sign somewhere to advise where to turn off to get to the huts as we found it difficult to find. We had a lovely, relaxibg few days, we would love to return.

Lovely lovely lovely! Can’t wait to book the cottage again….. huge recommendation to other bookers.

Great location, quiet and scenic view. Great communication by the host - happy to help.

The place is just peaceful and wonderful. Everything that is needed is there, would definitely go again 👌

Pros: The house has everything we need! The host even prepared ice cubes and a bottle of milk for us. The house is very clean and tidy and spacious with three bedrooms available to sleep 6. It has all the amenities including dishwasher tablets, all cleaning stuff as well as all kitchen stuff. The host even had drawing books for kids. It is so comfortable sitting in the living room area enjoying the balcony view of a large grassland. Cons: Check-in instruction is not exactly clear that where to...

Set on a working farm in beautiful countryside with far reaching views. The property was lovely & clean & contained everything needed for a relaxing stay. A very comfortable bed, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water & the property was lovely & warm. There was plenty if onsite parking. Whilst we didn’t need to contact the hosts we knew they were close should we have need them. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will certainly return if we visit this area in the...

Fantastic place. Perfect for getting out into the hills.

Property is lovely, a real home from home and the hosts have thought of everything you might need. Pet friendly. Local pub nearby and lots of lovely walks. Very friendly locals.

Fantastic place to stay and you are also supporting the fire fighters charity amazing place and ideal location will definitely be returning in the future 👍

Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the oven worked well. Lots of opportunities to go on walks directly from the property too. We like to stay in beautiful places and this ticked that box! The only suggestions we came away with were that the...

Lovely cottage with all the amenities that we required. Situated in a quiet village within close proximity of Penrith. Nice welcome box with tea, coffee etc and even treats for the dog. Good offroad parking at the back of the cottage and an enclosed front garden. Stayed for a week, excellent location for exploring Hadrians wall, lake district and yorkshire dales.

Couldn't fault it in anyway, very well laid out with everything you would need, really comfortable & cosy. We were staying in Daisy Cottage, Daisy the Cow was the theme throughout which made our stay even more delightful. Thank you Phil & Linda Woods for a wonderful holiday.

Spotless rooms. Welcoming staff. River view behind the hotel. Good place to travel around allocations. Very close to town centre.

Highly recommend this place
