Would highly recommend this place if you want to explore all that old San Juan has to offer. We enjoyed walking to both Castillos, which were only a few minutes away. Felt very safe at night walking, plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops just feet away. The kitchen was very well stocked and as a family made cooking very easy. The hotel contacted us and offered us their last room which was a down grade but we were happy. Then the hotel contacted us again because Expedia canceled our reservation. The hotel was great about taking care of everything and held our reservation and excepted payment when we arrived. It was such a special place . Very old building with original brick floors and walls. Every area was a surprise with art work, sculptures, antique furniture and live parrots and plants. I would definitely go back but will not be useing Expedia.
