Nice hotel with good restaurant on top of hill in the vineyards. Nice view over the valley from the restaurant and the breakfast room.

We stayed here 4 years ago. This time the hotel seems to have been neglected, apart from the girls when we checked in, who were helpful and friendly, the remainder of the staff were indifferent. Breakfast very poor

Nice clean hotel with the most amazing views!
Small town experience in Alice BelColle. Breathtaking views from every direction. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet that also was accompanied by more sensational views! Very friendly family owned business. Attached restaurant and tobacco shop also run and owned by family. Only complaint was the thin hard mattress.

Great Hotel in the Mountains
When you start heading to the hotel you think you are lost... It is an amazing place in the middle of wineries. A small city with a great sightseeing spot that you can see all the region around. The hotel is really nice and clean. Great staff and great food. Definitely would be back if in this area again. Recommended.

Please don't waste your time
Never again - don't believe any good reviews. We requested a quiet when booking and the woman on reception smirked when shy gave us what turned out to be a very noisy room overlooking a very noisy pub next door with a lot of drunken louts until early hours of the morning. They were nowhere near fully booked but wouldn't change our room. The aircon in the room was pathetic. A babies burp is more powerful. It was around 32 degrees, 27 at night so it was needed. We complained and were told that they couldn't power the aircon in the rooms and the kitchen at the same time - what?? We were assured it would be on later, at full strength, in the evening but it wasn't. We asked the night porter (reception closes at 8PM) but he just shrugged and walked away. We called Hotels.com, they apologised, suggested we look elsewhere and refunded the money but that left us in the middle of nowhere with at least a 30 mile drive in the middle of the night so we slept in the car with working aircon. We're Hptels.com gold members! Not impressed. Anyway, please do not waste your time with this hotel full of rude people that really do not care.

Quaint Town
Great hotel in a very quaint Italian town. This town is situated on the peak of a hill surrounded by Vinyards with magnificent views from the hotel restaurant and some rooms. Not much to do in town but we only stopped over for the night on our way from Lucca to Annency France.

A gem in the hills
Simply wonderful! We arrived around 9PM and the square was lively and full when someone knocked on the car window. The hotel saved a parking spot for us! Now that is service. The restaurant was has a spectacular view of the valley the food was perfect only to be outdone by the wine. This was a perfect introduction to our tour of Italy this year.

Great view, great staff
We had a great time at Hotel Belvedere. Alice Bel Colle is a very small but charming village on a hilltop. Our room had an amazing view and sitting on the balcony was truly fantastic. The breakfast was disappointing and the pool is about 1km away from the hotel but the staff is really nice and the dinner restaurant was good.

Hotel Belvedere in Alice Bel Colle
We har two wonderfull data at The hotel Belvedere in Alice Bel Colle. Nice room, excelent view from the room window as well as from breakfast room and dining room. The dinner was great. The breakfast was typical Italian but ok for adults. The only thing to complain about was the slow Wi-Fi. We got a lovely surprise as we arrived. We could go to a swimming pool near by. We spent half a day in Acqui Terme. Good food, nice people, a greate strole in the evening and great ice cream. Total impression. Great, nice people, good service upon arrival. Would we go there again? Defenitely.

Relaxing Romantic place
we enjoyed our stay. However it is little far from beaches (47 miles) ad quite interior and room was little small. Otherwise excellent view from room and one person speaking Englisn was very helpful.

Great Views, Great Vines
Room was bit small for 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) but it worked. Excellent views, food and wine in the restaurant. The pool down the road (included in rates) was an excellent diversion for kids.

The best hotel of our touring holiday!
The whole family were delighted with this hotel, its in a beautiful location and the rooms were fantastic.The staff were great and the food was some of the best I have ever eaten! We would honestly advise anyone to stay here. We will be back next year.

A little out of the way but well worth the drive. Beautiful drive through rolling hills and wonderful scenery. Once you arrive yoy are in a story book location. A place too unwine and enjoy peace and quiet. The breakfast is average. Dinner is out of this world. You really enjoy what "slow cooking" is all about. A perfect place to relax and let time slip by!

This place could be so much better if 1) The guy (son) at the reception would be friendly, more talkative and helpful 2) the guy (son) would show you a card of his own restaurants menu instead of telling you to go outside the hotel to check the menu on the wall!!! This is it. People sometime ruin their own business, because they haven´t learned this business.

idyllic vistas across Piemonte
This hotel is right in the middle of Piemonte in a small village and is very popular with travellers coming through on their way north or south. We used it as a base to travel to the four corners of the province while looking for a place to live and found it all very good. Excellent value for money too, cheaper than many hotels in or near the towns which really aren't that far away anyway. It's a very pleasant family run hotel and the owner, a local chap was very nice indeed. We had a family room which comprised of a double bed, two bunk beds and a sofa which could be turned into another double bed if required (which we didn't) . It was perfect for us though I would make two minor criticisms. I found the pillows gave me terrible neck ache (but I am quite particular about my pillow and sometimes in the evening occasionally you could here furniture being moved quite noisily at times above the room. Shower room had a good shower, hair drier and generally the room and shower room were very clean. breakfast buffet was superb and speaking as someone with two hungry girls who like their breakfast, as do myself, really was quite excellent compared with a lot larger and more expensive hotels in Italy who serve 'continental breakfast'. The breakfast room is also on the second floor with quite spectacular views. The restaurant at the hotel is cozy with more spectacular views and the food is absolutely great.

Hotel Belvedere - Alice Bel Colle
We really had a relaxing - very good time there. The hotel is in the centre of a very small but very charmy town in a beuriful area full of wineyards. Stuff very friendly, rooms are very clean and comfortable - and we had a great view from our window. In any case you need a car there, but I can recommend this hotel to the ones who are searching for a peaceful holiday far from big cities and traffic jams.

Lovely views from our room, excellent dinner menu but breakfast not too special, room comfortable if bathroom a bit small. The best part was the family who run the hotel. They were unfailingly pleasant and cheerful. Would be happy to go back. Thanks for the hospitality.

If you're looking for quiet, this is the place...
Piemonte is a pricey, pricey region and Belvedere was much more affordable than anything else we came across. It was also more conveniently located (distance-wise and for parking purposes) than any others that we researched. Alice Bel Colle is an adorable little town, but has not very much to offer for stuff to do. This is great when you're looking for peace and quiet, beautiful views, and a respite from the cities (which we were); it's not so great when you have to drive everywhere. I would definitely be cautious if you're a nervous driver - the roads are twisty (shocking) and the fog can get pretty thick. Our room was very comfortable; the staff (a family) is quite nice and helpful (the father called our room to let us know that there was a TV news program coming on that was going to feature the region...very sweet); parking was super convenient, right outside the hotel there's a parking area. The breakfast left something to be desired. Being winter I'm sure it suffered more than usual (we were the only guests on a couple of nights), but the stale bread was definitely a non-plus. The town is quite close to Acqui Terme, which is definitely worth a visit, and only about an hour from both Alba and Asti (again, both worth visiting). The surrounding areas are as grapevine covered as we've ever seen. It's absolutely stunning!

Great food, great service. Amazingly friendly hotel owner. Absolutely beautiful view from the hotel over the hills. Skip the pretense of other hotels and see a bit of village life in the piedmont. Loved staying here. I spent two nights some years back. This time, i stayed 4 nights. Visit the local wine coop and buy excellent wine!

Beautiful hotel tucked away on a hilltop above vineyards. Amazing sunsets and sunrised. Very clean hotel and rooms, and very good service. Though, the beds are brutally uncomfortable. I can sleep better on the ground in the wilderness backpacking. It was a slight distraction, but everything else was great and the close proximity to Aqui Terme was great.

What a great place
The three of us in our family stayed for 3 nights over New Year. It's a lovely hotel run by a lovely family and fantastic value for money. Alice Bel Colle village has fantastic views over the surrounding hills and we enjoyed the fireworks from the whole valley as we stumbled to bed after a 10 course special meal for New year that lasted four hours- a lot of people from the village and surrounding areas had come to eat and many stayedf the night. The hotel gives you fantastic value on meals, free internet, good breakfast, local cusine dinner- sells locally produced wine at reasonable prices, gave us a free bottle as a farwell gift and basically they do everything they can to make your stay as good as possible. No one could claim Belvedere is glamourous but you get far more than you paid for and a wonderful insight into village life as the hotel and adjoining bar seem so central to village social life and all delivered with friendliness and a warm sense of hospitality. We loved our stay.

Definitively one to remember for a return visit.
We took 'pot luck' in booking this hotel, based partly on other people's reviews, for a one night stop on our way home to the UK by car after a holiday further south in Italy. It did not disappoint in any way and because I have mobility problems I particularly appreciated being given a room close to the lift down and the comparitive ease of getting from there to the restaurant . Bathroom facilities were good for me too. The room was comfortable and the restaurant had a spectacular view out across miles of country. The menu was varied and the regional dishes were delicious as was the wine from an interesting list. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All three of us would return again and wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely Hotel
Me and my family had a beuatiful week at Hotel Belvedere between 12-20 August 2009. The rooms are extremely comfortable as are the facilities. Breakfast is very good. The view from the room is spectacular. The pool is fantastic with inredible view. I would definately reccomend this hotel.

Nous avions réservé au hasard une nuit pour faire une étape au milieu de notre voyage. Nous avons été très agréablement surprises par la tranquillité de ce charmant petit hôtel, très calme et qui offre un très beau panorama sur le paysage. Prix très raisonnable qui comprend le petit déjeuner.

À notre arrivée, il y avait personne à la réception arrivé à 20h l’hôtel était fermé. Il a fallu qu’on attende une demi-heure trois quarts d’heure devant la porte et envoyer un message rester sans réponse. il a fallu se renseigner au bar qui appartient aussi à l’hôtel pour que l’employé prenne contact avec le propriétaire par deux fois, après ça tout le reste c’est bien déroulé

Struttura in una piazza molto carina, in centro paese, ma molto tranquilla. Il parcheggio dell'hotel (che viene indicato come gratuito) è... la piazza stessa. Abbiamo soggiornato in una camera carina. Nel bagno c'è tutto ciò che serve, ma stranamente il dispenser del sapone non è vicino al lavandino, ma sulla parete di fronte, un po' scomodo per lavarsi al mattino. L'acqua calda è appena appena tiepida, va bene per lavarsi al mattino, ma non per fare una doccia. La nota più negativa è data dai letti, che sono oltremodo scomodi. La nota più positiva è la colazione, compresa nel prezzo: è decisamente di ottima qualità, sia come scelta di cibo, che per qualità e quantità. Oltre la media, decisamente, e viene servita in un dehor con una vista fantastica. Una cosa strana: alle 21:30 la reception era chiusa. Suonando però vengono dal bar di fianco, ti aprono e ti danno le chiavi. C'è comunque un cellulare per le eventuali emergenze notturne, ma non è una reception 24h.
