House part of the old city walls, beamed ceilings. Fully autonomous house with independent heating, double exposure and a splendid view over the roofs of the village of Castiglione d'Orcia, Pienza and the hills of the Val D'Orcia. 600 meters above sea level enjoys milder temperatures and cool winds in the evening. Quiet Unesco heritage village, with about 850 inhabitants; it has two bars, a museum, a playground, a Punto Sma minimarket, a grocery / bakery with typical and organic products, a Coop supermarket, a Pharmacy, two Banks, the Post Office and some useful shops. Also in the village there are a Vineria / appetizer (il RitroVino), a restaurant (il Cassero) and a restaurant / pizzeria (Le due Rocche). All services are easily reachable on foot in a few minutes. The apartment itself was very nice and well-equipped. There was plenty of room for the three of us. It can be a bit difficult to locate but Sergio and Mimosa were very helpful. Der kleine Platz vor dem Haus bietet die Möglichkeit, im Freien zu sitzen. Als Gruppe von vier Erwachsenen hatten wir ausreichend Platz und genossen einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Ottima posizione, sistemazione ancor più bella, dotata di ogni comodità e arredata con buon gusto. Altrettanto ottima comunicazioni con i proprietari, che si sono mostrati gentilissimi e disponibili.
