"Lovely, small hotel with very friendly staff. Easy walk to the beautiful beach and lots of restaurants.
We stayed twice within a couple of weeks. Our first room was a standard double on the ground floor. Comfortable and nicely equipped with a coffee/tea maker and a good shower.
Our second room was a suite on the first floor with a separate sitting room off the bedroom. Very comfortable and spacious.
The hotel has a lovely outside area with a warm pool, sunbeds and outside tables where drinks and light refreshments are served. Also a small car park with an EV charger, which was much appreciated.
Good selection of foods at breakfast for a reasonable few.
Highly recommended "
"Great place to stay, lovely house, great location. Great configuration of rooms making it easy for 3 generations. Lovely pool and hot tub. Very private. Hosts very helpful. Few things to consider - air con only in lounge. One tea-towel for 5 people for 2 weeks is poor. Only one shelf in the oven (very disappointing) and had to go shopping when we arrived for baking trays for cooking. Iron - but no ironing board. "
"This was our first stay and we really enjoyed it. We had a double and pullout / sofa bed. The air conditioning was very effective and the room very quiet.
The swimming pool facilities are fantastic and a real highlight of a stay. We'd have appreciated longer hours for our kid to be able to use the indoor pool (perhaps lunchtime when the pool is a lot emptier). I'd suggest relaxing the hours in off-season also.
Breakfast was satisfactory. We also enjoyed using the ping pong table. It's located about a 30 mins walk from centre of Chatelaillon / train station and we walked it. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you all the way to La Rochelle. All in all, we intend to return next year. "
