"We loved the hotel. Great location for the citta Alta which was less than 5 mins walk. The funicular to the castle was next door and we could watch it from the hotel room. It’s was a very nice touch and made the early flight a little easier. Thanks so much."

"Right from the moment I booked this room, everything was perfect. Communication was excellent and instructions of how to access the room were very clear. The room itself was plain and simple, but everything worked and was very clean. The a/c also was great - quiet, but efficient. Location-wise, it is absolutely wonderful for accessing the old town: very central and just steps away from a superb café/bakery, an ice cream shop and countless restaurants. Yet, the room was very quiet and tucked away. I would definitely go back and have already recommended it to friends."

The funicular railway is very near and therefore easy to get to the accommodation. Only downside is no air-conditioning but has a ceiling fan and is safe to leave windows open. Really good hotel."

"This was a fabulous hotel to spend 3 nights in Bergamo. It’s right at the top above the old town and not the easiest to get to but well worth the effort. The views were amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. The only gripe was the air conditioning didn’t work very well so it was a bit hot at night. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. We ate at the restaurant one evening and enjoyed a lovely meal in a great garden setting. Amazing wine list! The funicular down to the old town was only a five minute walk. It’s a shame there was no swimming pool but you can’t have everything! All in all not the cheapest hotel to stay in Bergamo but possibly the nicest. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again. Can highly recommend it."
