Wonderful Beach Condo
My wife and I found this to be a wonderful place for us to enjoy a weekend beach getaway on the coastline. The condo is clean, beautifully maintained and upgraded, cozy, and wonderfully located steps away from the beach. We had everything we wanted and look forward to our next chance to stay in this great beach condo.

Quiet, comfortable and near the beach
A very comfortable unit in a small complex. Great location - an easy walk to town or the ocean. Quiet friendly folks. This small condo has everything you need for a great retreat near the beach.

Wonderful location
We enjoyed our stay, especially the easy access to the beach for sunset beach walks. Well appointed for 2 adults. Right back burner on stovetop did not work. We did not find an instruction sheet for the stovetop. Laundry is not in condo, but is in condo complex. Coin operated: quarters required (it would have been nice to know this in advance. Host was very accommodating when we requested two additional nights at last minute.

Great place by the beach
My family and I loved staying here. Even my kids (who are quite opinionated) said that they would love to stay here again. The owner was very easy to connect with. The condo was SO close to the beach and to shops. The only thing we needed our car for was getting there. :) It was such a relaxing place to be.

Excellent Stay
Place worked out great for my two week stay. Only small complaint would be that there are limited windows upstairs so it gets pretty warm up there during the day. They provided an additional fan which helped but the weather was a bit warmer than usual so I guess that was to be expected. Keeping the downstairs windows and front door open really helped. Can't beat the location and its very quiet and peaceful. Property manager communication was excellent. Great water pressure in shower. Short one block walk to beach and so close to the main street for plenty of dining options. Great value for the price!

Good location
This was the perfect size for two people and was a good location to explore Santa Barbara and surrounding areas. The king bed is very comfortable and the updated kitchen has everything you need. By the front door there’s a bucket with products to clean the tar off your feet from the beach that works like magic, very nice, although we didn’t see it until the second day because it was behind a chair blocked by the curtain. You’ll love using that to clean the feet! The furniture and decor is tired leftover/hand-me-down and would change the feel if upgraded like the kitchen. The lack of AC is a challenge but manageable if you open the tiny windows in the upstairs bath and over the bed as well as the downstairs windows and set the fan at the top of the stairs blowing downstairs. This pulls in the nighttime cool outside air into the upstairs as you sleep and blows the hot air out through the downstairs windows. We don’t have AC either so we’re used to doing this. Overall we enjoyed this location as a good launch site for exploring the area.

Great location
Great spot, walk to beach and to town. We stayed for over a week, mostly just 2 of us, but our son visited for 3 nights, so it was great to have the sofa and extra bathroom. Nice to have off street parking space. Thank you for being flexible with our dates.

Great location
The unit was very clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring all that Carp has to offer: beach, walking, cool shops, and great restaurants. Also close enough to Santa Barbara to zip up there for an evening show at SB Bowl. Communication from our host was excellent.

The condo was very well appointed. It had everything we needed, especially the full kitchen. We had our own assigned parking space. It was 1-1/2 blocks from the beach and just a few blocks from the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park. We were just a short drive from Summerland and Santa Barbara and we drive up highway 150 to Ojai where the views were breathtaking. The main street (Linden) has many lovely and charming shops. We also recommend the Mexican restaurant on Linden.

A little piece of heaven on earth.
I was raised in Hawaii. It doesn’t get much better the that….however, this is the closest I have found to it….they have a wonderful spot there…the apartment is small…but very nice. It is warm upstairs…and could do with ac..but I see where they have no way of adding it up there. Open the windows, put the fan on high, and think about that walk on the beach that is so close…very friendly people in this town…tourists alike…I would love to go back…and would stay in this vrbo if I could. it was a delight.

Great cozy 1BR/Loft w/ nice modern updates!
This place is clean and cozy. Nice setup w/ a 1Br/Loft upstairs with a nice bathroom and a half bath downstairs. Gives some flexibility. Nice kitchen, as well plus a quiet neighborhood. 2 blocks from the beach, too! Great location in a great town.

Family spring break
Quiet and comfortable property in a central location. Staying here allowed us to hang up the car keys and walk almost everywhere. We loved the location for its close proximity to the downtown area and the beach. We used both beds. Adding the foam pad made the pull out surprisingly comfortable for 2 kids. We also used the beach toys, chairs & umbrella which made it possible for our family to spend the day on the beach.

The unit was very clean and comfortable. Location near the beach and Linden Ave shops and restaurants let us leave the car and walk. Having inexpensive on site laundry was a big plus.

We have stayed in the same complex, different townhome. both were similar in design, 1 larger than other. this one is cute and perfect for a couple in love and beach town lovers. Bring your bikes and blankets to sit on the beach. Such a great town and views/sunsets. we WILL reeturn

One Night Stay
The property was ok. We were also very disappointed to see a huge homeless encampment a few blocks away that took up half of the park nearby - that made us feel unsafe. We only stayed one night because we could not get the cable tv to work consistently. We talked with the owner and she had us press buttons on two different remotes and unplug the cable box and and plug it back in and we finally got the tv downstairs to work but had to go through the same process to get the upstairs tv to work. Next morning - same issue and this time we couldn't get the tv to work at all. We let the owner know that we were frustrated with the tv situation and that we were going to leave. The owner said she would contact the cable folks to investigate the issue but I was not happy about the thought of spending a vacation day waiting for the cable guy. The owner told us later that the cable box was not on - we never turned it off or on so we didn't know what was going on - we unplugged it as the owner directed, but plugged it back in. We had planned this vacation many months in advance and expected everything to be in good working order when we got there. You should be able to turn on a tv with one button. We let go the fact that the owner informed us that the dishwasher wasn't working properly because it needed a part which would be arriving soon - but now the tv situation just made it too frustrating. As it turned out, I had a medical emergency early Tuesday morning which put me in the hospital so it was good that we came home when we did. We asked for a refund minus the night we spent there plus any cleaning fees but the owner refused saying it was our fault (user error) that we couldn't get the tv to work because the cable box was turned off. We never touched that cable box. Very disappointed with the whole situation.

I'm very sorry the trip turned out this way for you. You didn't even stay 24 hours. Which would have allowed us to help remedy the problems you were having with the TV remote control. The huge homeless encampment you referred to is Carpinteria's state campgrounds where yes people were staying in tents. People on vacation.

Quiet Getaway in Carpinteria

Literally 50 yards to the beach!
Location, location, location! This place is steps from the beach and a short 5min walk to the center of town/restaurants. The condo was perfect and the owner super nice and very easy to get a hold of. We can't wait to go back.

Great location. Comfortable, if not luxurious.
Great location. The bed was not really comfortable, considering the price range. The place was clean and the downstairs bathroom is convenient. The owners provide towels, chairs and umbrella alongside some basic necessities. I would not cook here and the fact that you have to haul away your own trash, clean your dishes, ect was unexpected. Not really hotel service level, but it is VRBO. It really does feel like you are borrowing your grandmothers beach house for the weekend. It was nice and quaint, not luxurious. The host was quick to respond and the entry was very easy. The town itself makes staying anywhere there, worthwhile.
