We rented from February 26th to March 28th. This property has everything that you could possibly want or need - beach towels, bikes, wagon, boogie boards, backyard grill and lots of patio furniture, cuddly throws, flashlights, crockpot, etc.
It is decorated in a fun and eclectic style. About 4 blocks from the beach - it is an easy bike ride or walk. In fact, you can see a bit of the ocean from the second floor deck. Out of all the beaches in the Santa Barbara area, this is my favorite.
I have a little Shih Tzu that is totally blind. The back yard is beautiful, big, and fenced in so that she could wander around all she wanted and I did not need to worry about her getting out. The trip was worth it just for her.
My son had a friend over one evening and we had a lovely barbecue in the backyard.
My husband is dealing with Stage 4 cancer and this was a good place for respite. And yes, there is Amtrak rails behind the back fence, but is was not an issue with the trains going by. In fact, it was rather fun.
Carpinteria is more laid back than the busyness experienced in Santa Barbara or Goleta. It was magical.
I would recommend this property to anyone.
