Didn't work for me as I have a noise sensitive dog and despite Arnside being tiny it is very busy at weekend with walkers, cars parking for the Londis shop next door etc. My bad for not researching it more thoroughly! The cottage, whilst quirky, was spotlessly clean and generally well equipped and very comfortably furnished, the garden and conservatory lovely. However the garden isn't fully enclosed with a 5 foot drop to the parking area unfenced, beware with young children and dogs. I also found a dishwasher to be less useful than a washing machine but maybe that's just my person choice.
We found the house clean and quirky, the staircase was a little bit of an issue, being steep and angled, also the garden is not dog proof as the garden slopes down to the top of the wall and any remotely keen dog could soon drop off onto the road, which is busy, we also found that when the shop was busy cars would park opposite the parking entrance making it difficult to get in or out. Apart from that it was lovely, no complaints
We had a very pleasant 3 days in Arnside. Its close to Leighton Moss Rspb reserve and we could get the train there and back. Another day was spent walking around the coast from Silverdale to Arnside. The final day we went inland to Beetham, another fine walk. All good.

A very nicely situated cottage, very cosy and warm with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Kitchen facilities were great as was the shower, which in some places we have stayed has been a let down.
The furnishings in all rooms were fine and very comfortable.
Arnside village is a great place to relax, couple of nice dog friendly pubs, a good chippy and a restaurant and cafe. A few gift type shops and galleries and right next to the cottage the best local shop I’ve seen in a long time, a Londis I think.
Great little area for not too strenuous walks and one stop away from Grange-over-Sands by train, £3 all day anytime return and dogs free. Another very nice place with a lovely promenade to walk along. Our aim was to have a relaxing time, which we did. Even the weather played ball for mid November, most of the country getting heavy rain and we had bright sunny days. Wouldn’t hesitate to go to Underhill cottage again.

We loved the cottage and it's location.
We loved the cottage and it's location. Quirky house, comfortably furnished, pretty garden. Arnside is a friendly village with cafes, shops, post office , pubs etc all on the sweet Promenade which overlooks the Estuary. The cottage has no washing machine but we found a good reasonably priced laundrette in nearby Carnforth

Beautifully quirky cottage with lots of interesting features.
Beautifully quirky cottage with lots of interesting features.I really hope there's a Christmas tree in that odd little dining room window at Christmas !!
Very comfortable & pretty well equipped ; lovely welcome pack thanks !
Only drawback was the stairs ; no mention on the website that it's unsuitable for the elderly/disabled ; I had with me my 93 year old mum who walks with a stick & struggles on stairs & my husband who has MS & very poor mobility.Luckily we all managed the week without mishap but I think this should be mentioned !
Also interior pictures would be a bonus ; it needs to be shown off !

all you could ask for the shower was great. perhaps the stairs would be a problem to
anyone with walking difficulties.
