The main level features an inviting living room with a large TV and cozy seating, perfect for movie nights with ocean views. Step out to the front porch, where seating and a grill await for relaxed, post-beach dinners. The top floor is home to a private master suite with a balcony, ideal for sunset views. A bonus room on the lower level provides extra privacy and includes a shuffleboard for added fun, making it great for the kids. There are extra fees for either of these add-ons when available. \- Exterior surveillance cameras are recording video 24/7 \- This home has three large stairways, as well as a couple of stairs outside the front door and up to the kitchen. For this reason, we do not recommend this rental for very small children. \- The bonus room does not have a door for privacy. This floor is located one flight of stairs down from the garage access. \- Please note this home is right on the 101 which means you can hear cars during the day. At night you are close enough to hear the ocean waves! CANCELLATION POLICY \- A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, aside from a $500 restocking fee. \- Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment (not including deposit and cleaning fee). \- Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. If you wish to shorten your existing reservation with VRBKIM, and your reservation is further than 30 days away, we do charge a $100 restocking fee to make this adjustment. PARTIES & OVER OCCUPANCY POLICY If the guest violates any of our rules regarding noise, parties, or over occupancy, and the host receives complaints from neighbors, a $500 fine will be imposed per occurrence. This unit is by far our favorite. Well kept and higher end furnishings inside and out, elevated decor, new bedding, comfortable beds, high level of cleanliness, and in general the minimal wear and tear of the place puts it above the rest. We had everything we needed/wanted from a well stocked kitchen to a plethora of beach gear items in the garage. You can’t beat the beach access just directly across from the stairs to beautiful and uncrowded Tamarack Beach…unless of course your direct ocean front on the sand paying 2-3 times as much per night. For the value it’s unbeatable. If there was one thing that could have made our stay over the top, it would be to add a few beach bikes to the rental. The location was wonderfu—just steps across the street to a beautiful and clean beach. The property was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. We so appreciated the use of the beach chairs, umbrella, volleyball and more since we came from the East Coast. The washer and dryer was convenient. The beds were so comfortable with the softest sheets! We loved to watch the surfers from the second floor porch in the morning and sunsets on the evenings. The porch off the back was the perfect spot to hide away and read. We enjoyed walking into Carlsbad Village to get delicious coffee and açaí bowls from Better Buzz, tacos from Senior Grubby’s, the Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays, Italian at Via, Via Cuchina Italia, and more! We also enjoyed meals in the home thanks to the property being well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. I appreciated the communication to Check in as well. Needed better plates for microwave. Could hear neighbors thru the walls easily. It is loud on the front side all the time. But you're on the 101, so that is the tradeoff. The condo was clean and well appointed with all amenities considered. The location at the beach was great, just across the street and a 10 minute walk into Carlsbad Village.
